I got the beef ramen. It was $16. The beef(flavorless) and the egg(idk of it was sitting or what) was not the best. But the everything else was on point I wanted to actually drink the broth after I was done I added the purple packet and Sriracha that they provided. That part gets a 10/10. But for 16 bucks I’d want the meat and egg to be just as good and not bland. So that sucked.

After our first experience here, Journey East has almost become a weekly Saturday ritual for my wife and I. We just love the food and quiet atmosphere there that much. The BBQ bao buns are downright addicting. And the food is so consistent in quality too. Just a great place with nice, chill vibes.

Best ramen on the Northshore! We got the Korean kimchi fries and the tonkotsu ramen. My boyfriend got regular and I got the spicy. The broth is delicious and the noodles are cooked just right. The pork is pretty good, but I did expect more of a brisket texture for the premium upcharge. However, it was still delicious and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They also have such a great variety of ramune drinks. I just wish they were open more hours, since they are only open from 4pm to 8pm in the evenings and it can be hard to get over here for lunch. Great place and great service.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a very long time. Ever since someone mentioned a ramen/noodle bar on the Northshore. As u can assume driving an hr to Jinyas (reviewed) in Baton rouge or quickly Asian fusion Cafe (reviewed) d’ibervile isn’t always the best option when you want to pretend to be a hungry Naruto uzumaki.

We loved it. I’ve eaten ramen all over the world, and this was the best I’ve had in Louisiana. I’d prefer the traditional pork belly to the denser pork loin, but I get it. They’re just catering to their localmarket. Both the spicy miso based broth and the traditional tonkotsu broth were excellent, and the price is very reasonable. The service was exceptional. We’ll definitely be back. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the lack of pork belly. All in all a great dining experience.

Wow! So happy I found this place. The food was phenomenal. I had the tonkatsu ramen and it had such a rich flavor, the pork was fall apart tender. The customer service was great and the owner was nice. I’m coming back soon!

While passing through Mandeville on a roadtrip we looked up Asian restaurants and Journey East was highly recommended. With the cold weather, we were looking forward to a nice bowl of soup. When we arrived, there was a special menu outside which listed one of my favorite food, chicken wings (korean style – interesting). Who doesn’t like chicken wings other than a vegetarian or vegan?

Easily one of the best bowls of ramen I’ve had, with great prices too. Nice selection of ramen options and add ins, as well as dumplings and other offerings.
