I went to school in Greenville and came to Joy of Tokyo often. I stop by now any time I get to visit. The food is delicious and extremely affordable. Steak, scallops, chicken…can’t go wrong!!!

I usually go to the Pelham Road location near 85 and I will stick with that one from now on. Lesson learned. I ordered sushi and it was super bland and wasn’t rolled correctly so every piece fell apart. I’m just super disappointed with what I received. Like zero effort went into this food and you can definitely taste it. 2 of the pieces of Shrimp Tempura sushi were literally just tails. I’ve never had that happen at other locations. This sushi was just pitiful. And the sauces tasted water down. I don’t even know how that’s possible. $30+ down the drain. And I gave them a nice tip too. Just ridiculous and I’m beyond annoyed.

They want a tip to do nothing. They won’t even bring food out to the table, but you know, I understand- times are hard-so I left a decent tip anyway, and then when I asked for a “white sauce” to go with a chicken bowl, the girls (both- while one was sitting on the others lap) said “that’ll be 50 cent. No thanks, that 50 cent cost you a customer.
