In St. Louis for a quick drive through. Wanted pho for lunch, this place was the only Vietnamese restaurant open on a Sunday. You seat yourself. Service was slow, because it looked like there was only 1 waiter. However, food was good. I enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. And the cajun seafood was delicious. The flavor is different from other cajun seafood places I’ve had before.

The food and drinks were delicious especially the crab! The service was also exceptional as our server took time with us and answered the many questions we had. Would highly recommend!

If you want some authentic Vietnamese dishes, then you should definitely check out Joyful House. Their seafood broths and noodle dishes are incredible and offer a ton of food for the price. Some of the dishes could easily be shared between two people, and I would suggest getting some small plates and a large noodle dish to share. Everything is really fresh and it shows with how much flavor comes through in each dish.

The food here is really good. The stewed fish that comes with the family combo meal is awesome. The quail is good too. Vietnamese ice coffee is good. The soup is a little herbal and not sour enough but still good.

Wow! I am super impressed with this new restaurant. The dining area is clean and welcoming with minimalist decor, leaving the fish tank as the centerpiece. Fun feature, you can people watch through the fish tank that has a view of the World Market. The staff was friendly and quick to serve us. I ordered the Tum Yum hot pot, which was delightful. It has a very strong lemongrass flavor and lots of veggies. I also got a Mango Strawberry Smoothie, which was amazing! So many other places add sweeteners, but they don’t. It was subtly sweet from the fruit alone, just how I like it.

Food was delicious, we had Beef Pho & a seafood hot pot. When we arrived there was no one in the dinner room and most tables were filled with dirty dishes. To be fair we arrived at 5pm so perhaps between the usual lunch and dinner times. My daughter LOVED the creme brulee boba tea.

Wonderful food. Clean and good dining quiet dining area. Very reasonable prices. Next to a large market, World Market, that is worth a visit to.

Only open on weekends, so that’s the minus point. But the food is delicious and the price is cheap! The restaurant is nothing near fancy; restaurant is smelly, bathroom is dirty, but this restaurant is truly the hole in a wall. The food is just so good that I can put up with all that negative things 🙂
