This place has a great, atmosphere and lively bar in the back. I personally order sweet and sour chicken and it’s very sweet and juicy. I call it “bae’s house”

Honestly, I didn’t hold out hope that there would be a good Chinese restaurant on the lake, close to boating. BOY WAS I WRONG! Delicious food, nice atmosphere, ample parking, walking distance to boat dock in Alton Bay, friendly staff! Their gluten free menu has us going back for more, as kiddo is gluten free, and doesn’t get sick after eating it. Highly recommend.

Saturday night was my first time visiting this restaurant. I came because it was recommended by friends who visited plenty of times in the past (not recent though). Complete disappointment. We sat and waited a bit too long to be greeted. I asked what lagers they had and the man had no idea whatsoever so I ordered a cocktail. The drinks were awful. My friend ordered the scorpion bowl and it was served in a coca cola cup and it was nothing but liquor, I watched the inexperienced Male bartender pour it. The band had no showed them so they were playing music.. and it was depressing, sad songs.. not what I would expect from a bar on a Saturday night. We also ordered food and well that speaks for itself with the other reviews. Frozen food reheated. Will definitely not be going back.

I used to love this place and would always tell people about it and to go there. But it has changed hands and this was second time I have been there since. Customers non-existent. The first time was served recooked fried rice that was burnt and dry. This time I ordered chicken chow mein as I loved it always. Plenty of it usually. Well there was good portion but that didn’t matter as there was no taste and worst part no celery in chow mein. So how do you have chow main without it??. Bean sprouts and a little onion. That’s just crazy. So if you go there expecting the old food you used to get don’t bother. And in middle of summer in Alton on the lake, and no one is there at lunchtime that should give you a clue. Too bad I didn’t pay attention myself but used to love the place and would go every chance I got as don’t live near there.

Substandard Chinese food. The buffet only had 10 items on it and a few had an “off ” flavor. The best item on the buffet was the steamed dumplings. The boneless spareribs were dried out and tasted “funny ” and the eggrolls were small and frozen. The shrimp in the Lo Mein was translucent and gross looking! Very friendly staff though gave this place the 3 star rating for the staff but a negative for the food! Definitely not the food! I’ve been stomach sick all morning from the food. Do not eat the buffet!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I just moved to N.H. 2 months ago and have really missed Chinese food. I came from the Peabody Ma. area where there is very good Chinese food .

Started as just ordering wonton soup and egg drop soup since neither of us were that hungry, we thought. The soups were so rich and flavorful that we decided to explore the luncheon menu. LoMein nooles were mushy, actually everything had a texture that made you think it had been frozen prior to spoiling. Both of us left wishing we’d stopped at the soup.
