The Ribeye was perfect. It was tender and required NO sauce. The smashed potatoes with gravy were better than most mashed potatoes you get at a restaurant. The steamed veggies were really good too. The salad a little small but I like salad. The service was excellent. Buck is one good server. The house was packed. I highly recommend this gem on U.S.45 and if I’m in the area again, I’ll be back.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t let that fool you… it’s amazing!! My 12 oz ribeye had a lot of flavor and was cooked perfectly. Waitress was super friendly and helpful and the interior was updated and clean.

I rate it one star but that is generous have not visited this establishment in over a year and decided to do their Sunday lunch. very disappointed! arrived at about 11 o clock sharp and was nearly knocked over by a large woman who was congregating with others at the check out we were seated promptly but waited for someone to take our orders we chose the daily specials of meatloaf for me and chicken spaghetti for my spouse. both were inedible. in fact the entire meal was inedible the dessert listed on the website was not the peach cobbler that was served. the peach cobbler was not good and we could only handle one bite. when I questioned the waitress she said she would check into it but she never returned. she never did and later we saw her carrying on conversation with fellow employees rather than tending to my issues. I must say that I have lived and dined in the Pickwick area for approximately 18 years and never have I had such a poor experience. I advised the check out lady of all the issues and did not even get an apology and in fact nobody seemed concerned our previous visits were good so I don’t know what has happened in the interim. I did not see the owner on the premises so this is the only means by which I can voice my opinion we will eliminate this restaurant from future consideration

The owners Angie and Jon have hit gold with this place. This place was packed and full of smiling faces. The service is over the top excellent and the atmosphere makes me feel like I’m in Texas. It was a little out of the way for us to get there but worth the extra time. I enjoyed everything we ordered. The owners gave us a complimentary appetizer because it was our first time and let us try their dessert in the end. I left full and happy and so did my wife, which is success to me.

Best place to eat in Mcnairy County. Close to PICKWICK, so perfect when wanting somewhere to eat after being on the lake or river. High quality food at a good price. Well worth a trip to dine at. Ask for the server BUCK, he’s the best.

I have to say over all I wanted to give it a five star, because the over all experience was amazing the fried pickles were some of the best I’ve had, but as we were eating my son found a baby roach in his chicken nuggets we all immediately stop eating, and asked for the check after we got the check we showed the waiter so she could be aware of the situation, I think the thing that’s more disappointing is that when the owner was informed she didn’t come to speak to us to apologize or anything the waitress (who was amazing by the way) was more apologetic. I really hope the issue is addressed because before that situation I was telling my husband how amazing the place was we were even going to get dessert, but over all if there wasn’t a roch in his food and we all got to enjoy our meals I would of given a five star.
