Their names were Jerry Haley, Robert Martin, Ellis Martin, Charles Lehman, and Keith Waltz. And, if you take the first letter of each of their names and put them together, you get the word, “JRECK.” Since then, JRECK subs stores have opened up throughout New York State and continue to offer the best-tasting subs around. Delicious subs! We always stop here when we’re headed to the Adirondacks. They make the best ones here. Saranac Lake Jreck’s isn’t quite as good as this location.

So I go at 820pm. I’m told I can’t get anything from the grill because they already cleaned it. I asked when they close, the girl told me 830. I also couldn’t get anything with sauce, pizza sub, meatball (which was the sub of the day). Seems like their being open is all in anticipation of closing as quick at possible not being able to get a substantial part of their menu who knows how long before close.

Haven’t been to a Jreck Subs since the one in my area closed. ☹️ Excellent sub made fresh and savored every bite. Dining area was super clean and well organized. Wouldn’t say that the preparer was very social, but his attention to detail and “military” style of carrying out the mission was completely acceptable.

I used to Eat Jreck everyday in the 90s at lunch from college. So today I took my family to Lake placid ( we lice in the Midwest now) and thought hey let’s get a sub. All.fpur of us wanted subs that had Turkey. No sign saying out of Turkey so when I ordered my sub 1st with Turket the Tall guy said out of Turkey. Then seemed irritated I had to ask what others wanted since they had no Turkey and no sign posted. He clearly did not seem to want to be there. The kids and I ordered the pizza rolls ( frozen dropped in deep fryer) and got our drink cups. Root beer was just carbonated water. No one seemed to care to change it. Men’s room needed ALOT of work. Disappointed to say the least. Will go back to Watertown location and see if it is better.

Good food and service. The place is a bit understaffed but the sandwich artists are usually fast. Great place to get a sub while in Tupper Lake. They do not have a variety of things you can put on your sub as other Jreck subs I’ve been to. The place has a completely different vibe compared to Subway. The food is not as fresh as subway’s. Regardless of the shortcomings of this place it’s a great business in Tupper and the food is enjoyable. I’ve never had any bad experiences going to Jrecks in Tupper Lake.
