We visited for lunch today and it was a great experience. We found ourselves saying “why don’t we come here more often?” I had the country fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. My husband had the spicy tender dinner. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent fried chicken with exceptional customer service. Came here on the recommendation of my sister. Will definitely be back. Ordered the all-you-can-eat chicken special and it was DELICIOUS. Chicken was cooked marvelously and juicy. We didn’t have to ask for seconds or thirds as the cashier and cook made several visits to our table to inquire on our needs. A top notch establishment.

Excellent service, and friendly staff. I felt welcome from the time I entered until departing. The waitress went over and beyond to accomodate us. Now that was just the service, let me tell you about the food. When I tell you that it was by far the best fried chicken ever, I mean it was the best in Kankakee county!!! It was cooked to perfection, and the presentation was on point. The quality of the food was above my expectations. The outdoor patio was very clean and comfortable. The young lady made sure that we were satisfied throughout our time there. I was very satisfied!!!!

The salads are all your old favorites mom used to make. I find this place to be extra clean. Moderately priced. The workers were very attentive. We ate I. And they brought our food to the table. They asked if we needed anything, a few times. The staff were relaxed and competent.

OH MY GOSH! Run, don’t walk to this place. Better yet – DRIVE NOW! Amazing fried chicken like Granny used to make. Great choice of sides – friendly staff – and the PRICES? Is it 1965? I don’t know how they do it, but this place makes me want to live there. And that’s the main reason I would. Go there. NOW.

Best chicken in the area. All of the food is very very good down-to-earth homemade. I appreciate James effort and keeping this a family place with family fordable prices. The rib tips are excellent and the macaroni salad is today for. And if you love beats theirs are the best. I like the Jr’s in Bourbonnais but I prefer the one in Kankakee I think it’s the ambiance.

I am visiting from out of state and wanted some fried chicken. I learned about Jr’s and got two takeout dinners. The chicken was excellent, some of the best I ever had. Sides were good also. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend. If you live here you are lucky to have Jr’s.
