Prime rib was cold and extremely tough. Sweet potato fries were wimpy and cold. Specialty cocktail (Key Lime Pie ) was tasteless and had virtually no alcohol. It was mostly crushed ice.

Let me start out by saying, this was by no means the fault of our server. I ordered a steak with 2 sides like it comes with and one of my sides did not come with my plate so I just nicely reminded the server that I still needed my second side. She smiled and ran back to the kitchen to grab it but it was not ready so I had to wait a bit which wasn’t an issue. The issue comes when my side comes to the table. It was terrible. The worst coleslaw I have ever had. I nicely told my server and the managers idea was to bring me another dish to see if I liked that one. Shocking to no one, it tasted the same because it was the same batch. By this time my meal was complete and they asked me if I wanted another side and I politely requested a replacement of dessert or something of that nature. The manager refused but then discounted my bill for the same amount that the dessert would have cost. Our server was great and the food was good. Everything was great until the side of terrible coleslaw came to the table. My wife and I will not be returning for a while if at all, talk about a joke of a situation that could’ve easily been solved with a better outcome for the customer that had ordered an appetizer, 2 drinks from the bar and 2 higher end dishes… Your manager should’ve made a better decision for your restaurant.

JR’S is a well established restaurant that has consistently tasty food. ….. However. I changed my diet to plant based 6 years ago and there are only a couple of items on the there menu that would satisfy me. I wish more restaurants would offer a few plant based items at least. I hardly frequent restaurants anymore for that reason. And I love to dine out.

One of the steaks our party ordered came undercooked. Took around 10-15 minutes to get it back, no apology. The food was great, but everyone finished their food before the steak was ready.

Went here after working all day and got the ribeye steak, was a perfectly cooked meal ordered medium rare. Wasn’t to busy inside and staff was amazing. Great atmosphere and staff, perfect if your just passing through or a resident of the city.

I haven’t eaten here, but it seems like a good place to hang out. Some family members were there recently, and one of them left their wallet behind. The staff/management showed great kindness in finding the wallet, hanging onto it, and returning it. I thought that deserved a positive review and perhaps a visit for something to eat in the future. Thank you, JR’s Tecumseh staff!

A really nice place in Tecumseh MI. We stopped after viewing the ice sculptures. The food was as expected except for our chicken. One was a bit rubbery but the other was excellent. The server took care of the issue though so all was good. If your in town or near here stop in. We will go back and try it again. It was neat to see the saddles decorating the place.

When this location first opened I felt like it was really basic food and wasn’t impressed. Fast forward to years later and this place has really grown on me. The food gets better every time! It’s the perfect place to get drinks with friends and share an appetizer. The food, drinks and service at this location are superb. We live in a neighboring town and order take out from here all the time! They’re always on time with the order and happy to help! Absolutely would recommend stopping in for dinner!
