I had them today. Got a few different things. They are pretty good. Right now, there is like only 1 guy working the entire restaurant now(understaffed?)no idea why. But he does a good job with the food. I give him props. Tilapia and fries, house salad and the Philly chicken sandwich.

This Family owned business has a lot of choices on the menu. It is reasonably priced. Portions are pretty big and could be shared. We had fish sandwiches with fries. They were 100 times better than Culvers!! There are only 4 tables inside, so best for take out, pick up or delivery.

This has got to be one of THE BEST little diner’s in the Twin Cities! I just stumbled upon J’s home page on google. Absolutely amazing burgers. The burgers are the perfect old diner burgers. The food reminds me of all the diner food I ate as a kid in Franklin Park, and Elk Grove Village, in the Chicago area; as well as some of the inner-city Minneapolis with my grandma. The portions are huge, staff is up-beat and friendly, the prices are very reasonable. But the food is just SO perfect if you like that old timey diner style food. I urge anyone to give it a try. This place is just amazing!

Overall the flavor on everything is good. I ordered the Italian Beef sandwich to go and I was disappointed to find my bread soaked in aujus. It was dripping all over me when I ate it and the texture of the soggy bread is not great. Make sure to ask for the au jus on the side for this sandwich it was really disappointing to not get the dining experience I would have expected. A little more au jus and it would have been soup
