Unassuming Mediterranean restaurant tucked into a shopping center in South County. The cozy restaurant is beautifully decorated and smells amazing. You can order ahead of time, which I recommend. There are so many options from sides to meals to choose from. Everything is freshly prepared and full of flavor. This was our first visit, so we went with the popular options. I opted for the Chicken Panini, my husband got the Cheesesteak, and my son got the Stuffed Flatbread. Everyone agreed that it was some of the best Mediterranean food we have had! Can’t wait to come back and try a few new things.

First time visiting this gem of a restaurant. When you first walk in the first thing that hits you is the amazing aroma of the baked bread. We ordered an appetizer of the Toasted Somun Bread and Kajmak. It was just amazing! We followed that up with both the Berliner and J’s Maslenica. Both were great, but the Berliner was the best thing we had all night. I would caution though if you order bread for an app, I would look at their salads. It was just a lot of bread….delicious bread, but a lot.

We ordered take-out from J’s Pitaria for the first time and loved out food. We ordered the Chicken Berliner and Beef Gyro and both were delicious. The Berliner is very big and hard to finish. I really enjoyed the mix of the yogurt garlic sauce and J’s hot sauce. The hot sauce was in fact spicy for my level and the yogurt sauce will cool it down. Pretty amazing mix! I recommend.

The food here is why we keep coming back – the overall ordering, customer service and space is very chaotic. We tried to get food last week and there were only 2 tables of people and they said it would be at least 45 minutes. We decided to leave and were told next time to order ahead, which we did today. We alerted that we ordered online and were there and sat down and then 15 minutes later went back to ask status and our food had been sitting on counter. And then they copped an attitude that we ordered online but wanted to eat in the restaurant (we don’t live close). Anyways, the ordering whether there or online and then service isn’t the best. The food is really great, but a bit pricy. My salad was $14 and was VERY basic. Lettuce, onions, cheese and some meat with two dressings. It definitely wasn’t worth it but my partner got a Berliner which was about same price and was loaded up. So I would say don’t get a salad here or you will leave hungry and disappointed.

True to their promise of serving the best and freshest food possible. As a Bosnian who has live in Germany for 5 years and had some of the best Döner kebab they have to offer, I give high regards to the food at J’s. It is rare to find a place serving real meat on their kebabs. You will find highly processed hotdog like shavings that are not healthy for you at most others. J’s is true layers of beef steak that takes time and effort to prepare and it shows. The pita pie is just right. The spinach and cheese is cooked well where it is not soggy or wet. The beef pie has just the right ratio of beef, bread, and spices and was cooked to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the lahmaçu box and saw it was two large pieces instead of a small portion and the Gyro was amazing too. The flatbread with the the vegetables was on another level as well and the Ayran yogurt drink tops of the experience. When you look at the food portions at J’s you can see that the owner and his wife are of the utmost generous nature and their portions reflect that. I will be back with my family 100%.

This was my first time here. Tried to come a few weeks back, but came a little too close to closing time and they were no longer taking orders. Came at 5:00 pm this time with a friend. Ordered the Berliner and it was just fantastic. Come hungry because that sandwich could literally feed 2 people. My friend and I got to talk to some employees for a bit and everything was very warm and friendly. Definitely going to come back and maybe try other items on their menu.

I have been to J’s Pitaria 3 times now and it never disappoints! I’ve tried a different dish each time and share with friends so we can all try new things. Everything is so flavorful and is enough food to share or to have plenty of leftovers. Today we ordered our food online and picked up and everything held up well on the drive home. Our ordered were going to be ready at different times but we called and there were no issues with them having the orders ready together – service is always great! We had the chicken panini and falafel sandwich, 12/10 would recommend both! Added a side of tzatziki just for some extra sauce, but both are perfect as is. We took pictures of other food when there because it looked so delicious and we will check those items out next time!
