Ordered here for the first time tonight. The baked chicken quarter leg was so tender the drumstick meat literally fell off and had great flavor. The seafood mac and cheese is huge with a healthy ratio of seafood throughout. Good taste. Red beans and rice were great for us!! Not soo spicy that you cant taste the flavors. Fried chicken sandwich was really good, great size too. Candied yams were sweet but not sugary and overly sweet like some places. The Gooey Butter is legit one of the best we’ve had. AND they were great while taking our order and were the fastest curbside delivery we’ve gotten from anywhere. Will definitely be back and would recommend.

I should’ve went with my first thought and left. I was quite disappointed in entire experience. For starters, he did not open the restaurant until 1 hour after posted hours. Upon opening, most of the menu was unavailable. I attempted to order, salad, gumbo, 2 baked chicken dishes, a shrimp po boy, and desserts. Nope did not happen. As a Creole women, I expected more. The red beans and rice lacked flavor, the sweet potatoes tasted as if they were out of a can, the chicken tenders tasted like they were dipped in funnel cake batter. However, I was highly disappointed in the Voodoo Pasta. Mac and cheese with crunchy celery. I will not be back.

I only gave this place 3 stars because the owner was super nice. But I ordered chicken tenders which were cooked from a bag already breaded they were hard n grosssss I also had Mac and cheese which was super salty and dry the yams were out of a can, greens were super salty as well. dressing taste like it was stove top stuffing. When I say the food was gross believe me. I will not be returning!

I drove all the way from Kansas City about a week to try out this restaurant, and I must say , it was well worth the trip. I order the baked chicken meal , and the meat was so tender and well seasoned that it just fell off the bone , and the Mac and cheese is absolutely amazing. I like that the owner and his employee checked in with us a few minutes later, And ask how was our food. Highly recommended!!

Ordered the Voodoo Pasta and the smothered pork chops with yams, mac-n-cheese and greens. Very large portions; you’ll have lots of leftovers. Had to take a super long nap afterwards! Food was good, but seemed a bit over seasoned. Service was great!

I had the Chicken Rice Bowl and the Candied Yams. Bruh, the Yams were incredible. I had to go back in and tell the owner thank you for this. The bowl was great. It’s the type of dish where as you eat it, you’re like “it’s pretty good” and then the dish is gone and now you’re wondering why you didn’t order a second one. I highly recommend this spot.
