We went on a busy Sunday at lunch, the service was quick, but they were either short staffed or not prepared for the customer load. They are one of the few restaurants open on Sunday in Portales, so they should have been. But, they were quick to get food out, and it was great as always!

First time here and the lady at the counter getting my to go order is just so unprofessional. And how she spoke to some servers in front of me should’ve waited til i left. Food was good tho. But Visiting from Texas and that Lady alone makes me never want to go back.

Came here to eat just me and my bf they sat two tables after us and those tables were helped along with the waitresses checking on two other tables. Both waitresses looked at us but still said nothing. Later in when we was debating leaving because we hadn’t been helped the waitress comes to us and said “sorry nobody told us you were here”. Made me kinda think “you have to be told to help a table when you looked at us directly?” Along with the terrible service the chips was so stale they was bendy and chewy when I took a bite. On the plus side tho we got our food and it was decently good. But just the overall rating because of the service would be a 1 star.

I don’t know if I can think of anything that’s legitimately negative about this place! I’ve been eating here since they opened and I don’t recall ever having an honestly bad meal. The staff has always been friendly and I really enjoy the atmosphere. The worst thing I can say is that I wasn’t able to have my chili relleno plate for my college graduation dinner as I had hoped! And that was my fault for taking so long to get there and expecting them to not be slammed when I finally did arrive! On a side note I’d very much like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the wonderful staff, quite a few of the times I ate at Juanito’s it was with my grandma, who would definitely agree with my review. She passed away in December and the last dinner we ate together at a restaurant was right here. It was delicious as always, but I got her to try her first Enchalada, and she loved it! The picture is of her plate and shows her opinion of the chili relleno/Enchalada combo! As always the staff was on point and made it possible for us to have a relaxing, happy meal full of love and laughs.
