Julia’s is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is authentic and delicious. The service is very good. Portions are generous. They even offer several menu items not found in other restaurants. The salsa is homemade and includes cilantro–a tell-tale sign for differentiating authentic Mexican restaurants from the low quality slop houses that serve cheap garbage to gringos. Yeah, it is where Hispanic people mostly go–another tell-tale sign for authenticity. It is no frills, but with Julia’s no frills are needed. The food speaks for itself. It is just the way a restaurant should be. I wish other area restaurants would learn from Julia’s.

Good food and good service. Had the birria tacos with the lamb soup. Very good. We are from Texas and the places you can find that do birria tacos cram them full of so much cheese that you can’t taste the rest. These were not super cheesey. I liked them a lot! Street tacos have a ton of meat on them. Totally worth the $2.75 each. Highly recommend.

I didn’t love it but it was ok. I’ve gone to another Mexican restaurant that had flavors that I absolutely love. We all have different tease buds. You may like it. Like I said it isn’t bad but I just didn’t feel like it was flavorful and the flavor on the carne al pastor wasn’t at all like what I’m used to. I love the service though. They attend you well and are very friendly. They place was lovely. You might want to give it a try. I only went once and I only got the carne al pastor. So there could possibly be something else I could like but carne al pastor is my favorite and this place didn’t have what I expected. Give it a try. They might have something you like. They are very nice people. Great service.

Several of us went to Julia’s Bakery for lunch. They serve authentic Mexican food. I ordered 3 tacos – carnitas (slow cooked pulled pork) on a corn/maiz soft shell, a side of rice and beans, and a sweet tea. Just look at that pic of the tacos. Makes me hungry again. The service was friendly, quick and our food arrived hot and tasty. I like the fact they have 3 or 4 different levels of heat in their salsas, from mild to much hotter (picante). Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommended.
