We were heading home from our family trip to six flags and looking for a place with some fresh southern cooking and came across Just Like Mama’s. So glad we did! They were so nice and genuinely happy to see my big family walk through the doors. So many people don’t seem excited when I walk in with all my kids but Samantha and her family welcomed ours like we were part of their family. Everything we had was delicious and my kids filled up on meatloaf, baked chicken, chicken tenders, and slow cooked oxtails. And the sides were part of the show too! Some of the best mashed potatoes, yams, green beans, cabbage, and my favorite was the mixed vegetables. Topped it off with banana pudding. Kids left wishing it was closer to our home so we could come back. Had to tell them next time we came to six flags we will have to stop here again! Thank you all for a warm welcome and some delicious filling food!

Hands down this food was amazing. We don’t get food like this in AZ! Samantha is young but definitely cooks just like mama for sure! Best of everything. The menu was fire. The kool laid was bomb. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff and service overall is warm and friendly. The ambiance is very welcoming. I’ve been here a few times now and this time I got the turkey wing dinner with Mac and cheese, yams and cabbage and cornbread ( i got so full I couldn’t even finish). Everything was delicious! Seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection! Turkey falling off the bone and everything. If you want some real good soul food that taste like Sunday dinner at grandma’s I genuinely 10/10 recommend Just like Mama’s.

Overall was very disappointed because they’re aren’t a lot of soul food places around. Atmosphere: There was heavy Cobb webs in the window in the front, the floor was sticky and the counters were dirty were the glass was broke in. Not to mention the Christmas tree in August. The place lacks identity and cleanliness. Went on a Friday night.

Well I stopped by just like mama’s after getting off from work and ordered 2 pieces of chicken, potato salad and green’s. And I ordered a side of pigs feet. The pig feet wasn’t even a whole pig’s feet. The pig’s feet was the size of my 2 year old hand. They charged me 34 dollars and 6 cents. I was like are you serious. It’s ridiculous how their charging for that little quality of food. I won’t be spending money with them ever again. Roosters in villa rica food is better and plus they don’t over charge their customers.

Yeah…. Whoever in that kitchen know EXACTLY what they doing!! Had me singing old negro spirituals. Today my wife and I went for the second time to see if they could pull off the goodness one more time! (You know how you go to a restaurant one time and it’s good but the next time it’s not?).
