It was the smell of beef barbecuing over wood that led me to this cozy out of the way cozy place with an eclectic mix of old-school funk and soul in both its style and music flow. The restaurant is Co own by a couple of brothers. I met Gauge ( I’m probably misspelling his name). Who came to my car to informed us that they were opening at 10 a.m and invited me to come in and get a menu. Both him and the rest of the crew were engaging and friendly. So I learned about their love of freshness, flavor, and quality. And now the important part THE FOOD. I ordered the Chopped Beef sandwich and the Loaded Fries. The Chopped Beef was beyond my expectations it was tender, succulent and perfectly seasoned without the sauce. With the sauce which was both flavorful and thick, it complemented the beef and did not overtake it. The only thing I would have done differently was I would have gotten the buns toasted. I also ordered their ( Loaded Fries) The fries appeared to be hand cut and was cooked like Mom’s was I the kitchen. I got the beef and nacho sauce with peppers and sour cream. The fries were crispy and got. The nacho sauce wasn’t runny. The beef and the cheese was excellent. I HAVE TO ADMIT I DIDNT EXPECT TO REALLY ENJOY THIS PLACE. BUT ONE TASTE OF THE BBQ SAUCE HAD ME TAKING A BITE WHICH LEAD TO YET ANOTHER. MY KINFOLKS HAD TO REMIND ME OF THE PICS. SAME FOR The fries. The combination of flavors had my tastebuds in overdrive. Once again this is a great out of the way diner. The owners and staff is friendly and helpful. The vibe is old school with a touch of classic soul. And omg the food is excellent.
