I ordered the chicken fried steak with okra and fries. The steak, fries and gravy were really good but the okra was burned. My husband had a sirloin with baked potato and salad bar. Salad was great but the sirloin was tough and full of gristle. They did return $10 on our $35 ticket. We won’t be back though.

Only reason I gave two stars is they have a really good salad bar but for s steak house this place is a joke. I’ve never seen such a poor quality meat served as a NY Strip, it was very fatty loaded with gristle besides being way overcooked. I may eat here again for the salad bar but do yourself a favor don’t order any meat their using poor quality cheap feed lot meat

They took our large group of Scouts on Saturday night (31 people) after 8pm with no hesitation. The service was friendly and quick. The food was reasonably priced and good ! Would recommend as a nice family restaurant

This place is a little bit older, but it was clean on the inside. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the fried catfish, with sweet potato wedges. I live in dfw, and have yet to find catfish as good as K-Bob’s.

Steak was not good at all didn’t even look fresh ordere a ribeye steak but could not trust by looks to eat it. Burgers were said to be half pound but I would say more like a quarter pound, salad bar was fresh but very little pickings.

I’ve eaten here several times, but I have to say that the customer service on the phone is the worst. My fiancee wanted to hold our rehearsal dinner here, but they have yet to send us a menu so that we can choose some menu items. I would like to note that we requested them to send this to us well before Labor Day. When my future MIL contacted them again to say that we haven’t received the fax, they informed her that it was “on the list and they would get to it.” A fax takes literally less than 5 minutes. I have no idea what is so important in Childress, TX that they can’t send a fax to us! Not impressed!

It was the worst experience I have ever had! We were sat at a table and no one ever came to the table to get our order. We waited 15 min and then decided to get up and leave. I did mention to the hostess why we were leaving and all she said was sorry! I have been in the business for 20 years and this is very unprofessional for any wait staff! I will make sure that I let everyone know it’s not a good place to go!!!

It has gone down hill. Last time we were there my mom got food poisoning from the chicken fried steak. That was our dinner for the evening and my father and I got different things and she was sick within an hour.

My Husband ate there on his way to Dallas to his son’s wedding spent the ENTIRE night in the bathroom with the most horrible sickness he has ever experienced! Health department needs to check this place out! Will never eat there again!
