Food was well seasoned. Very relaxed environment and dress code. “Mature” atmosphere. Happy to try, not sure if I would go back. Pictured are (is an appetizer made into a dinner. Choice of Prawns are grilled, fried, garlic herbs or cajun) cajun seasoned prawns w/butter dip, garlic mash potatoes & veggies followed by peach cobbler w/ice cream, Lemon-drop drink, beans and salsa as some type of appetizer. Live music Tueaday- Saturday I belive they said. The 2 person musician team I was told, have been playing for 30 yrs. Price tag for 2 dinners, 1 drink each & shared dessert was $100+. We had friends from out of town visiting and they wanted to try this restaurant after seeing it on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives. The food was delicious. I had stuffed bacon wrapped chicken breast with fresh veggies and cowboy potatoes. It was all perfectly cook and full of flavor. Some of our guests had lobster mac and cheese and loved it. My mom can be particular with her food and loved everything she ate. Food came out quickly and beverages were topped frequently. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices may seem high but the food is high quality and superb service justify the cost. My only complaint would be the dim atmosphere. We had to use the flashlight on our phone but we are all old with bad eyes. Lol.

Great food and staff. An interesting location and environment. Imagine there are many stories that people have about this place. Looks like a lot of fun has and will continue to take place here. I enjoyed quite a pork chop ( see photo ) while others feasted on some excellent ribeye steaks.

Steaks, veggies, drinks and calamari were all so good. I didn’t understand the salsa and beans served with cold bread. The garlic mashed potatoes were not worth eating, not good not bad. The atmosphere and service was nice. We will be back to try something else besides steak.

I always tip 15%, even with bad service, most of the time, 20. This was horrible. Our waitress, after I asked for the check, was sitting down at another table. Also, the $18 clams were 6 little necks. I have been coming to KC’s for years. I will not darken the door again unless things change drastically. Very disappointing.

3 stars. Maybe 3.5. I felt like the food was good, but not worth the price tag. The atmosphere was nice, though loud. There was live music and the guy did a pretty good job. The cheesecake slice I had in the end was probably the least appealing cheesecake slice I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I felt like the service was mediocre. The waitresses were very professional when they interacted with you, but it seemed like they were way understaffed/overworked. They were busily rushing about the restaurant like a level from that nintendo game Overcooked. The drink girl did stay on top of keeping drinks filled but beyond that the food waitress was surprisingly difficult to get a hold of. I won’t likely eat here again, but won’t entirely rule it out.

Honestly, I wish I had taken a better photo but the food was too good I ate it all before I had the chance! You just can’t get steak like this in the U.K. I love the fact you feel like you’re stepping back in the time when you go through the door. Very attentive staff, special thanks to Megan behind the bar for looking after our group and our multiple seating changes (we originally only came in for drinks and decided to eat after seeing what was coming out of the kitchen!). I’ll be back!
