Looks cute from outside and I wanted to try something new, “an Indian cafe.”

So this place is a gem. Like really it is. Mostly if you’re South Asian and missing home. Situated very unexpectedly in the middle of downtown Ventura, this little spot has some of the best coffee or “kaapi” as they say in Mumbai. With all them spices and stuff it’s a real pick me up. Mango lassie too, great for a cool drink while walking along the beach. The dosa and sambar stuff was def more for the local less desi pallet. But the idlis were lit at. Overall it’s the move, especially if you’re driving up or down the coast.

Wow wow wow. New favorite brunch spot in Ventura. Delicious flavorful southern Indian food that’s delicious and not heavy on the stomach. All good is made it order and fresh at purchase. Some food does have a little kick so if you are sensitive to spicy food make sure to ask first. Lots of vegan and some gluten free options too. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We LOVED of latte. I highly recommend a visit. 2 meals, an appetizer of samosas, and two coffees was around $35 after tip. Worth every penny. Check this place out for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee stop!!

Having authentic South Indian breakfast in Ventura?! What?!!! Absolutely delicious! I usually get Masala Dosa with chai! Also it’s delight to watch Amma herself make dosas on Saturdays!

This is a great family owned restaurant located right in the heart of downtown Ventura. Everything on the menu is excellent. Must have the half an half dosa ( aloo and paneer) and the uttapam. The filter coffee is authentic and amazing. A special mention for the authenticity of the sambhar! The owners are very kind and will help with any questions and will make you feel like you’re having home cooked food. It’s a relatively new joint and hence there aren’t too many reviews but if you’re nearby or passing through Ventura, you must make a stop here.

As a South Indian I was very pleased with the food here but surprised by how few people were eating it!!! The coffee was delicious (s’mores latte shown), but we tried the masala dosa, paneer dosa, samosas, and gunpowder idli which were all delicious. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

Simple and delicious drink and food menu. Mix of your usual with Indian fusion or straight up Indian dishes. Casual and inviting environment. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a new coffee/Indian restaurant. The food is great, and the service was friendly and attentive. The day I was there, they gave free sample of doses. A great addition to Venturas global food scene.
