This place is always busy. The staff is great, they really know their products and are always willing to chat about the menu. I enjoy going for thé oysters and a glass of bubbly to pair with them. Karen the bartender is outstanding! I have always sat at the bar

Made a reservation on Google for Kabin Kruisers. When we got there they told us that they do not take them. I showed them the reservation and they made us sit at the Rochester Chop house after being tracked to rudely by the manager in charge. It then took about 15 minutes to get menus. The oysters were great if course. Charlie’s chowder was cold and when the food came it was salty it was almost not edible. Everything we had at the table. Took about 20 minutes for anyone to show up at the table and all they said was we will tell the chef. No sorry. Usually a great place but this was a total bust.

It was ok. Small warm bar atmosphere. A little too cluttered for my taste. The seafood chowder is better at the Kruse and Muer restaurants. The bread was also different from the restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and mussel boil. It had no flavor. I won’t be back. The garlic cheese toast was good. The bar tenders were friendly and my pear martini was delicious.

Kabin Kruser’s website indicated Happy Hour was 2-5 so I made our reservation for 4:30, figuring that gave us time to order. When I asked for a happy hour menu I was told that happy hour ended at 4:00. I told our server that is why we made reservations at 4:30 because it stated 2-5:00 happy hours on the website. He said he was sorry and he’d let his manager know that there was an error on the website but that happy hour had ended at 4:00. Okay, moving on…

We ordered the mussels Diablo appetizer and surprisingly they were totally cold, then we ordered the fish tacos that used to be great but they were horrible and soggy the fish wasn’t even cooked through. Very disappointed from a place I thought I could count on to enjoy the food that I did before.
