I wasn’t going to comment but I’m seeing this as a common issue nowadays for Kabul West. They charge you per person for the food but catering takes all the food away before it’s even finished. For our wedding, they took the food away very shortly after serving and some of the people didn’t even get a chance to eat. As a common decency if one pays for the food, you should leave the left overs for them instead of taking it away. When I tried to call and inform them, I got cursed out. Unfortunately, they only take cash most likely for tax purposes or else I would have disputed the charge. May God guide them towards the right path.

Catering takes their food away before its finished half way even, cut your noses please kabul west for not being honest with their clients. I asked Allah to guide them because they don’t care about the people.

Food quality not good and portions small for the price. Chapli kabob oily, lamb kabob hard to chew, chicken kabob dry, rice too oily, drinks weren’t included with plate meals, bolani was good but small. Make sure you clean after yourself or you will get an attitude from the lady in the back 🙁 she said this time she will clean up but next time we have to put everything in trash , I’m not sure if there will be a next time! $20 tip wasn’t good enough I think

When it comes to Afghan food no other restaurant can beat Kabul West, their food is so delicious with good price, four stars for the small portion and if you want more rice they charge extra, I have dined in all Afghan and Persian restaurants in San Diego and Kabul West is my first choice, hope they extend the hours

Check out their new location on 9910 Mira Mesa Blvd! The food is the closest thing you can get to a homemade meal. The Bolani is scrumptious, Chapli kabobs soft and juicy and the qabuli is like what mom used to make. I am so glad that I can finally recommend a great Afghan restaurant in San Diego!!

I love Kabul awest! I’ve actually dined here for many (over 20) years, since they were located originally in the sports arena area. The owner Sayed is very nice and the food is delicious! I love the curries and the various kabobs and other dishes they serve. Very healthy too. Skip the typical fast food joints and try something different!

The food here is delicious. I always get the lamb curry and it had always been fantastic. The portions are pretty big, so bring an appetite or ask for it to go.

Woow! The most nutritious vegetarian plate I have ever found in a restaurant. The vegetarian plate has: rice, sautéed spinach, green beans, onion, red pepper, squash, eggplant and green salad ( with your choice of the salad sauce from a sauce bar). And that was for just $9.75 . The owner is so nice and friendly. He explains what exactly in each plate. The restaurant is a part of a food corner in a plaze, so there’s is no sign outside the food corner with the restaurant name. I like this place and I recommend it.
