Kai Sushi is honestly the best sushi spot in Santa fe. I’ve poked around at other places and this hidden gem has a great atmosphere, staff, and a lovely selection of not just sushi but other entrees as well for those of us with anti-sushi friends and family.

The experience here was not as expected. Was not busy and plenty of staff. Wait staff not attentive or efficient….could hear loud belching and giggling…..the sushi was lacking in both presentation and taste. The tuna was warm and mushy. I expected much more…..and was sadly disappointed. The dark roll is a vegas roll….I have never had a vegas roll that looked like that.

Got the Hamachi kama, chicken fried rice and tofu udon. They were all excellent. The wait staff were excellent. This was our 4th option after getting turned away at the ranch house at 7:30pm (closes at 9pm but says the wait was 1:30 min. Lobby was empty) pho ava at 7:40pm (closes at 8pm) and chows since they don’t do dine in. Glad we didn’t give up and go to McDonald’s, lol

Our new go to Sushi eatery. Large menu of various items. Everything we ordered was excellent. Reasonable prices. Very good service especially considering how most places now can’t seem to find enough help to do the most basic service. I highly recommend this place.

I had a great experience for late lunch. Waiter shared with me which fish were super fresh that day & I got sushi. Beautiful presentation. Small, relaxed, booth seating. Within a mini-mall. Not fancy. Easy parking.

We’ve visited this place several times and have yet to be disappointed. The service is always great and pretty fast. The food is good and the atmosphere is comfortable. My current favorite is the squid salad.

We got there at 430pm 3 couples sat down before us. The restaurant did fill up with in 15 min. 3 or 4 tables ate and left before we were served. 1st role took over an hour the other 2 followed 15 min later, 2 of the roles tasted funny. Overall poor experience!
