Love, Love, Love Kain Tayo!!! This fabulous Filipino restaurant will become a staple in our Go-To places to eat and enjoy a wonderful homeland experience! The food was just Awesome…the Bistek, the Adobo Chicken, the Fried Chicken, the BBQ Chicken, the Pancit, the Lumpia, the Sisig Nachos, and even the dang whote rice was Awesome!!! The staff were just as awesome…super friendly, anticipated our needs, smiled and even made conversation as busy as they were. We are so so glad you opened downtown St. Louis on Locust!

A comforting Filipino experience overall ! Enjoyed my sinigang, though I’d like more fresher vegetables, as i got them limp today. We also got a beautiful chicken adobo dish. However, it’s too sweet rather than the savory-salty adobo we’re used to. Service was friendly and very attentive. We’ll go back soon for karaoke and halo halo lol

We really enjoyed our first dining experience at Kain Tayo. The lumpia and pancit are delicious, and we enjoyed the playful textures of the lechon kawali. I look forward to bringing my mother along for a return visit. Salamat po!

The food was great and a real authentic Filipino dish. The restaurant had a great ambiance too. We were there on the opening day and everyone was working hard to keep up with the huge numbers of the crowd. They have karaoke in the dining area too, so you can eat and listen to some good singers out there. There is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant and side street parking which is usually free on Sundays.

Don’t walk, RUN!! The food was napakasarap (DELICIOUS) ✨. Affordable and large portions for the price! Ordered lumpia and sisig nachos for appetizers, nilagang baka for entree, and halo-halo for dessert ☺️

The staff were kind and multiple people checked on us throughout our meal. The karaoke is a fun touch! As for food, we got lumpia and the pamilya platter so that we could try as much as we could Everything was delicious!! We hope to visit again soon to try what we missed out on the first time!

5-star rating is not enough! I took home Perfectly Pleasing to the Palate Palabok and Magnificent Mechado! The flavors in the Palabok made my jaws hurt (a good thing) as it was SUPER DELICIOUS! The beef in the Magnificent Mechado just fell apart and was terrific with the plain white rice! While I may be away for some time, my ❤️ will be at Kain Tayo and my extended family there, in STL! Keep up the excellent work with your flavors of the Philippines and the great hospitality and service. May God Bless each of you and your continued successes! KT-STL, this is a unique restaurant as you can definitely taste the love and passion in each of the Chefs’ preparations! A definite TOUR OF THE PHILIPPINES in STL!

It’s worth the wait!!! Kain Tayo Filipino Cuisine Restaurant is the best authentic Filipino restaurant in the St. Louis area. We’ve been a fan since they opened in Trenton IL. There might be a long wait when you get there but this is because your food is being made fresh from scratch . Our favorites are pork sinigang, Bicol express, sisig, and lechon kawali. They have specials like kare-kare and other menu and you’ll find their posts on Facebook. I see a couple of 1 star and bad reviews but I would encourage you to try it again and give it another chance. They had just opened up on Feb 11 and like any restaurants, there are adjustments that need to be made. Thank you and more power to Kain Tayo!
