I would not have expected the quality of sushi that I received from a restaurant with such a high general rating. Especially because there are some very good local sushi options, so it’s always surprising when restaurants let such a bad order through. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, and don’t know how interested I’ll be in giving this place another shot just given local competition, but did want to post this review so that others can be aware.

We went for this five star sushi place in garden city having high expectations! But unfortunately not happy at all because it wasn’t fresh or tasty! We ordered a variety of three combos making it about 9 rolls. Very unhappy!

This was a very nice place for Japanese food. I got the chicken hibachi (comes with a side of soup & salad), california roll and shrimp tempura roll. Side note: everyone at the table got the same thing except for the kids. It was fairly empty when I visited, which was a Sunday evening. I was surprised to see it no too full since it was dinner time. Overall the staff was nice, place was spacious, and the food was good

Came here in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and the staff was so attentive and kind. We ordered the soft shell crab, shumai, unagidon, and sashimi lunch. All of it came out in a timely manner and everything was excellent. The sashimi and particular was so fresh and flavorful. Will definitely recommend and return.
