Wanting a taste of Hawaii? Kama’Aina Hawaiian Grill on Ruston Way in Tacoma is the place to go for a meal or a cold drink. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. There are tables outside to sit on and enjoy your meal and the waterfront.

As a Hawaiian-Island guy new to the Tacoma area I was shocked to see this driving by so I turned my car around to try it! The entire menu looked so “ono” (delicious) it took me 10 minutes to decide what to eat!!

Went to the Puyallup fair yesterday and ordered from KHG. I ordered a malasada and a khalua pork plate . It was so delicious! Everything was amazing. I’m not usually a fan of Mac salad but theirs tasted so good ! I wish there was permanent location in Puyallup! Definitely ordering more in the future! There’s a location on Ruston way at least . Thank you for the amazing food !

Not sure of whose mistake it is, but it says they’re open. I’m here at 1300 hrs on a Thursday and they’re not open. No Kahlua Pork for me today, so sad…

I’m sitting here eating this and I have to say, there garlic chicken is delicious! Right amount of flavor, perfect crunchiness (and I’m picky) this being my first time and quite literally just walked up to it, all I can say is I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu. I am impressed definitely recommend to anyone that wants to find a place to stop by the waterfront and not be a big time restaurant person.

Heard so many good things, I ordered the sandwich with fries. It was so saturated in liquid the bottom bun completely fell apart and was dripping. Even part of the fries were ruined by it. The meat was so good but the entire sandwich was completely ruined and I couldn’t eat it. Burger murderers it looked so good, but the disappointment was awful!

Could be Ruston Way’s best kept secret.

Horrible and expensive. Calamari was way over cooked, oysters were OK, the biggest problem here is that they make their own catsup and cocktail sauce, worst I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t even eat the fries, they were soggy and covered in some nasty red powder plus “no catsup”. The oysters may have been better had the sauce not been so bad. Also there are no good places to sit. A couple of nasty wood rotting tables and a couple of park benches.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The fried cod fish was frost bitten and spoiled. It had a very bad “fishy” taste and smell that cod should never have. You could tell that the katsu, huli, and garlic chicken had been cooked days ago and they just warmed it up. The quality was atrocious. The calamari was sad, burnt, and tasted like cardboard that was sitting in old grease. Same thing with their shrimp. The rice was gummy mushy. The mac salad had too much mayo and was extremely salty. The French fries were a joke. Old frozen fries and a lot of Johnny’s seasoning salt on top that they say is huli seasoning. I don’t write reviews, but this food was spoiled rotten. If I just didn’t like it I wouldn’t have written this review but I think people should know before they spend $40+ on bad food. This was the spot on Point Ruston.
