We loved our noodles. The broth was rich and flavorful. Great atmosphere! We also ordered the calamari. Our dishes and appetizer were satisfying. Probably the best ramen we’ve had in Alaska!

This place did not disappoint. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen 15 minutes before closing time. Service was great and wait time was efficient. Order was taken while the table was being cleaned. The soup was rich pork bone broth, noodles had sufficient snap to them, ajitama egg was perfect, pork chasu was sliced with the right thickness, topped with negi, nori, bean sprouts and the spicy sauce. Overall experience was fantastic although short in time. Definitely will come back to try the rest of the menu.

Best ramen in Alaska and it’s really not close. My go to is the spicy tonkotsu. Rich and flavorful broth and pork that’s so tender you don’t have to bite it. Service is always fast and friendly.

Absolutely amazing spot for lunch or dinner! The space isn’t massive, but you never feel crowded. The remodeling and decorating that they have done makes it very comfortable and cozy. And I absolutely love the open kitchen space so that you can watch their chefs working. The service has always been impeccable, even when the restaurant is full to capacity and they are juggling many tables they have never slipped up and always come by to ask how you’re doing, refill drinks, and be friendly.

I’ve been to quite a few “ramen-ya” in Japan and Kami ramen is hands down the closest you’re going to get to an actual “ramen-ya” in fact it IS a “ramen-ya”. The shoyu tamago is actually shoyu tamago. They have shichimi togarashi. Where other ramen shops in town do provide tasty ramen, Kami ramen is not only giving you the most delicious bowl of ramen, they’re also giving you the best ramen experience you will ever have. I’m amazed at what they’ve done and they have my full support as a regular. I believe they are in the process of applying for an alcohol permit which has me excited as well. I’m hopeful they can open one downtown that stays open a bit later at night. Snow, rain, night, or day they’ll have me walking thru the door.

Delicious, savory, full of flavor. I enjoyed every bite of the ramen, more specifically the spicy tonkatsu ramen. The atmosphere is open and bright, dependent on the weather. At night, it becomes a solitary moment to enjoy a meal with or without company. Servers were quick and friendly, checking up on me. Would recommend.
