1st time here. Have driven by and always busy. Decided to try again and not so busy, so here I sit. It’s actually quite lovely inside in the bar area, with a little pond and wood and slate walls. One huge screen TV over the bar and two more behind the bar where ethe few pub high tops are. The upstairs at the sushi bar area is also equally lovely and comfortable, small and cozy. There is a back room area is where the hibachi grill area is. The lighting is dark but not so dark that it’s depressing. I got sushi; salmon, tuna, eel and yellow tail. It was not mushy or fishy tasting. That is a total plus. I also got udon for home. So for Branford, this is a great sushi place. Henry, one of the partners, is super nice, I mean seriously nice person. I felt immediately comfortable. He was friendly, easy to talk to and just humble with no attitude. I watched as he ran the bar, making drinks for the servers and fancy drinks for those in the bar as they waited for their tables or friends who were coming before heading to their tables. He did so with ease and patience. Not stress or attitude.
