We are a local Mom and Pops type Diner serving old school food that you grew up own like Smothered PorkChops or Chicken over Grits for breakfast, Hot Coffee and fresh cut Potatoes. Corned Beef Hash pan fried to a crispiness with grits eggs and hot Java. By the way we are a 501c3 Non Profit Organization that does give back to the community called GODS LOVING HANDS FEEDING THE HOMELESS INC. We believe in helping those who are temporarily less fortunate then perhaps ourselves.

I would stop here occasionally, I would get the pulled pork sub, got to say, it was a hefty helping of pork, VERY TASTY and DELICIOUS! Another stop is in the future, keep cooking on my friend and will be trying the other dishes. The owner is friendly and polite.

Save yourself, don’t do it. Fish and grits were terrible. I threw the food out and never went back to this restaurant. Bought some of his pikliz while I was there too. Also ended up throwing it away. I saw a BBQ food truck on Dixie and stopped to get some food but when I saw that it was him inside of the food truck I didn’t trust it but I decided to just get a side of collard greens just to hold off the hunger for a while since I had already made the stop. It’s the only thing I ever had of his that I didn’t throw away. They were at least edible. His food is the highlight though because his personality and his customer service is worse than the food itself. Again, DON’T DO IT!!!

If there was a way to give them less than one star I would. This place is probably one of the dirtiest grimiest places I have ever visited. The owner was extremely rude and the food was very bland and was not worth the money. I wish I would have read the reviews before going and reading that this place was shut down due to roaches. My first time trying kangaroo house out randomly,was on grub hub a few days ago. I was craving “soul food”, which that option is very rarely available in our area nowadays! I was nervous at first because I hadn’t tried it nor had anyone personally to try it. I was very much so impressed. I had chittlerlings,yams,Mac&cheese, greens& not to forget that pound cake!! It was definitely made with love& they sure have a new customer in me… Can’t wait to put my order in tomorrow!

It was my first time there. The cheesesteak and rib platter were delicious. To drink, I mixed 2 of his homemade juices, pineapple and kangaroo-ade. The owner was a really nice guy. I definitely recommend this place.

The food is awesome the service is awesome I love the down home hospitality I receive every time I visit. He has a huge selection of some the best food I’ve ever eaten. Be sure to try the Pork BBQ, Brisket, ribs,oxtails and smothered pork chops they’re mouth watering. 10 out of 10 all day. The Sauce is fantastic!
