It took getting the bartender to notify the hostess that people were waiting to be seated. The food was brought out quickly and was very good. Also asked if we could sit outside but told it was reserved but nobody sat out there all night after we were seated inside, there were previous people out there but tables empty when I asked.

We ordered the hot buffalo wings and calamari as our appetizers. I had the grilled salmon and asparagus for dinner. Everything was very good and everybody really liked the food. So occasionally I would return. Oh, and the service was good.

My husband and I have visited Kankakee at several casinos. We have visited the New Buffalo location before also. We normally try to give restaurants a “3 strikes your out” approach. Kankakee in New Buffalo is on strike number 2. The online reservation is a great feature. Our server was good but seemed preoccupied with other things(the restaurant was slow at the time we ate) The food was horrible. We ordered calamari which was the only decent food we had. My husband ordered mac and cheese with chicken and it was so dry even the manager who came by said it looked very very dry. They took it back to remake it and it was barely edible a second time after 25 minutes waiting. My burger was also very dry and arrived barely warm. The fries were cold and not edible. We were both still hungry so we ordered the carrot cake to share. Definitely a pre-packaged and once frozen desert of you ask me. I’m not sure we will give them another try at the prices they charge. If our server wasn’t so nice and the calamari wasn’t the only good dish we had, it would be one star. You’re better off going somewhere else if you’re hungry!

This place is inside four winds casino. After playing the one armed bandit (slots) we decided to have a bite to eat. The veggie wrap was so amazing that I would drive from Illinois back there just for that! The breading on the calamari was seasoned and very very tasty, we Also had the crab cakes which were good as well. The only thing I would pass on is the corn bread. It was a little too hard for my liking. My friend had the salmon and she loved that as well. We were seated immediately and the service was great.

1st time here, and it was very, very good. I will recommend the cream cheese jalapeño dip delicious as an appetizer. I had the bbq ribs, and omg, they were bomb. My husband had the fried chicken, didn’t get to try, but he said it was good. Drinks were very good they even let us get drinks to go to walk around casino. The server was very nice and patient.

The food took forever.They weren’t busy. I bought the Mediterranean salad for 10.00. It had about 1 cup of lettuce spread out on the plate. A few pieces of lettuce were brown. I asked for the oil and balsamic vinegar on the side, which was very thick and pasty.

Had an 8:30 reservation last pm . Arrived 8:20. Told we had 40 min to eat ! Close at 9pm EST. quickly occupied 2 bar stools ordered a Bavarian pretzel and wings which I highly recommend. Scott the bartender was excellent. Never felt rushed. The hostess Also hours of operation need to be posted. Don’t accept reservations a half hour before closing! This restaurant needs HELP! needs to define itself. We have travelled to the Hard Rock in Gary rather than deal with this place! New management a must.

Food is good but pricey. Had Breaded Lake Blue Gill omg so good. Check pictures out below. Parmesan fries weren’t so great but that’s cus I don’t like parmesan on my fries. Serves many goid drinks depending on bartender! They have a trivia night so fun call to get info on it.

Sad place to spend time . Cause it takes forever to get a simple order. The no potato soup sucked and it took 50 minutes just for that. As a citizen of the Pokagon Band I am very dissatisfied. Tighten up kids .
