Just wow! Amazing food and good prices. Everything was so delicious and tasty. We had Lomo Saltado and Arroz Chaufa along with their fresh juices (passion fruit and mango). The dishes were cooked perfectly. This is definitely one of my new favorite Latin restaurants in Tampa. I am looking forward to trying their other dishes. What a hidden gem! It’s in a relatively obscure place, we went in the evening and it wasn’t busy. With their lunch price specials though, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were busier in the day.

This place is outstanding. A true diamond in the rough. The food and service was phenomenal. I ordered the rice with steak and an empanada. It was extremely flavorful and fresh. I’m just throwing this out there, but it could’ve been the best empanada ever had in my life. I just wish I had one closer to me on the West Coast.

I am happy I came here! The owners are very nice, but most importantly the rotisserie chicken and the taco that we ordered are one of the best that I had! I love the Guanabana too! My autistic daughter loved the chicken too! And the beans was so perfect in my taste!

I randomly ran across this place a few days ago after leaving Home Depot across the street. The natural juice sign caught my attention. I came over and ordered the Cuban(9) and the Mostrito (5). Took them home to share with my grandparents, and everything was LOVED! I’m back again today to get another Cuban and trying the Bistec a lo Pobre. I’m ready to eat, but I wanted to take the time to give this place their flowers

The food is amazing! Recently moving here from NYC, and just 5 minutes away from the Tampa Zoo, we came here in hopes of experiencing good Peruvian food (and I came here based on the reviews) and they did not fail me. We had the Mostrito and the Lomo Saltado. The food was fresh, and plentiful (I had to take some home). The juices were so good I had to take another home. I had the Papaya and a Guayaba. The environment felt like you were relaxing at a home felt restaurant and the hostess made my kids feel at home. Overall the service was excellent and I will definitely come back.

There were no customers at Kanka’s when I went there, probably because it was the onset of tropical storm Nicole, but the owner, Elias, was there to explain all the items in the menu. Such a great guy he was. Anyway, Kanka’s is very clean, and my to-go order was ready in less than 10 minutes. The fried chicken and fried rice and fries I ordered was so good. I thought I couldn’t finish that huge serving but it was so good I ended up eating it all.

This is a true gem of a restaurant. I had natural fruit juice combo of guanabana and guayana (custard apple / Seethaphal and guava to Indians). The mostRito, a combination of rotisserie chicken and arroz chaufa (fried rice) is fantastic!!

Absolutely delicious food AND wonderful service! The pollo a la brassa and the arroz chaufa we SO good! The best we have found in Florida by far! The baked empanada was also really good. Even the fries were perfectly done. And the portions were HUGE! We are going home with way more food than we were able to eat in the restaurant. Fantastic value for your money.

There’s not a lot of restaurants that have zero 1 star ratings… this restaurant has an overwhelmingly positive rating on google for a reason! The portions are good, prices are fair, and quality is amazing! My biggest complaint is that it took a while to make- but that’s only because everything is made to order fresh. Great staff and great environment. 10/10

We had a great lunch at Kanka’s. The food was very tasty and the owners were super nice, they made great recommendations to us. The fried rice and burrito had a Peruvian flare with lots of fresh ingredients. This is an undiscovered gem, also easy to drop into when going to Home Depot.
