Delicious food, and they are the only poke place/restaurant that didn’t raise their prices despite the cost of everything going up during the pandemic and russia conflict. The owner is a good guy. He cares about the community and wanted to keep their food affordable

Came here after a hike and it was perfect. The fish was very fresh and delicious, there was a good selection of toppings and sauces, and services was efficient and accurate. Will stop by again for sure!

This place has amazing poke bowls and chicken teriyaki. Frank the owner, has been a sushi chef in the area for years and can also make just about any roll you can think of. I love his lion king roll and firecracker balls. Not to mention he knows a ton of traditional Chinese cooking and makes amazing food. I have yet to find a spot with a better chicken teriyaki, it’s really the sauce he uses on things. My mom is obsessed with his salad dressing. Stop by here if you are in Danville

Horrible. Very stingy on what you get, they don’t even serve in a proper bowl. I expect better from the area this place is situated at. The worst poke bowl I’ve ever had

Not a place for friendly service or staff. You go because it’s the only poke bowl place in Danville (that I know of). Fish is fairly fresh, but it would be great if it felt cleaner in there. Owner keeps the lights off, so it doesn’t feel very inviting. Never got sick from there. It’s not a bad spot, just needs some improvement on cleanliness, friendliness, and add-on choices…and maybe turning on the lights.

I love this place! They have the best poke. The owner is also very nice and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy the portion size. I recommend getting the ponzu and ginger sauce – it’s delicious.

I can’t really give Kanpai Poke a good review. I’ve only been to one other Poke restaurant in the area and so I have no choice, but to compare the two. The other one, which is located in San Ramon, is cleaner, brighter and has a set of four people behind the counter moving customers along each ‘step’ of your order. Kanpai had one dude, doing one order at a time, AND taking money, too. It’s kind of a “thing” for me when the cashier takes money, then handles food. As a hospital worker, I watch these things, and the guy definitely took the money from the people ahead of me, then came straight from the register to help me. There are less choices of proteins and sides and sauces here than at the other place, but the prices are comparable. Parking availability is equal. But the customer service and the authenticity is better at the San Ramon poke place. I’m just an ordinary customer, I don’t work for or represent the other Poke place in San Ramon. Like I stated earlier, I work in a hospital. So, I think this is a fair and non-biased review. I think I would give Kanpai 3 stars, except that when you handle money and food in the same breath, well, that’s a turn off for me.

After a long day with meetups in the area Kanpai Poke was supposed to be called upon the following week. However, I was nearby and it was getting late. So, I went ahead and give them a call and they said open till 10pm. Average size place that’ll probably sit twenty plus. Service is so-so relatively quiet throughout my transaction. Owner was looking on guiding employees on how and where to place scoops of protein. My bowl was just alright, but too much sauce was drizzle on, thus making it too sweet. You can’t go wrong, but you can’t say it’s not good. A divided issue assure me of another visit soon.
