People were nice but the service was lacking and somewhat slow in a semi empty establishment. Mofongo was dry and tasteless. Small portion of steak served for $24. I am assuming they do better for their to-go buffet because people were coming in and out for that. It was only 2 of us and they put 18% gratuity on the bill without warning. I’m not sure thats legal but we paid the bill as is without problem. Probably won’t return.

They are all about the money, to the point where it makes me question the quality of the food. I went there the other day. It was a $10 minimum to use a card. The drinks was 2.5 times the price. The lady handling the money seemed aggravated. I use to frequent this place years ago all the time. I don’t know what happened to the service, but I don’t like it. The sad thing is it’s not the food. Its everything else.

As a child I went here for years with my mother. It was 5 stars. Great food, service, and cost… NOW it’s is Garbage. Me my wife just walked out of there and I will never go back. We were never seated and I was given one glass of water. Once we were brought our food which took forever The lady who is the owner never returned not even to drop off in a check. I had to physically get up in acts for a check. I’m top of that there was no toilet paper and the hand dryer was broken. It seems that once new ownership took over this Restaurant service went away Do not go here!

Food wasn’t bad. Got the peril mofongo which was alright. Pork was kinda dry and the mashed plantains didn’t have a ton of flavor. To be fair it was about an hour before closing so it may have been sitting around all day. The sauce they had on the side was excellent, just wish there was more of it.

Be sure to check recipt. Added an 18% gratuity to the total for a table of three and a check under $75. Then they hand you a the credit recipt with blank tip section. Hostess never said a word about adding tip to total. Almost tipped twice before we realized. The Breaded chicken was awful. I don’t know what cut if chicken they got but myself and one other person at my table ordered it and it was as chewy as rubber. Bits that were edible were tasty. Red beans were good but a little bland for my taste Nd the rice came out room temperature. Needed to ask them to microwave it as soon as they brought it to the table. Not from the area so i definitely won’t waste my money next time I’m in town

Horrible service, the waiter Eduardo doesn’t know how to mind is own business when your speaking to another employee which turns out to be the day supervisor, and then when asked to speak to the owner since Ive been here before the dont want to give me gis business information to complain. After having such a bad experience then they hand me a cold pernil that they said they were cooking fresh from the back. If they did it wouldn’t be cold. I can’t believe a rude place like this exist in White Plains,NY. I wouldn’t recommend it.

It was good to have a Spanish meal. But we went for breakfast and it was a bit too greasy. But the girl made a killer hot chocolate you must try. other that. They were very pleasant and helpful.
