Fried chicken is good but not convinced it’s karage. $9 for five large pieces. Sweet chili dipping sauce is definitely not Japanese. Pretty wall art and sleek self ordering kiosk. Place was empty. Best part is the plastic ware package which has both fork and chopsticks and tells you that you don’t need a silver folk. Yes, no need for any folks people

Our 2nd time here and we really like the place. Chicken is juicy and well seasoned, very crunchy and not oily. The staff is very friendly. We got the large combo for both visits. The Japanese orange sauce is very good with an orange citrixy taste to it.

I forgot to take pics, but I ordered Donkatsu curry, Gyu Don, Katsu Don, and wings. Fried foods are good, but everything else is not that great. Rice was not Japanese rice (long grains instead of medium grains), and the curry was like liquid instead of creamy texture and tasted like nothing/water. Katsu Don was soooo salty that we could not finish half of it.

I had been waiting for this place to open for a while and I finally made it in. The decor was bare, but somehow the atmosphere was charming. My order was ready in less than 10 minutes, hot and fresh. I got the nuggets, two legs, and rice. The light, crispy outside gave way to some of the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had. Naturally, the legs were a bit more crunchy. It was perfectly seasoned throughout, so no sauce was required, but some of the sauces really enhanced the flavor. It’s definitely rich and fatty (the skin is left on and there is plenty of it), but pleasantly so. Paired really well with rice, which was a bit expensive. Other than that, it’s a great value. It was so good that I almost forgot my phone!

Wow! Finally the restaurant is open. We ordered drumsticks and they are huge. We also ordered chicken wings and nuggets. I love all of them. They are crispy outside and Juicy inside. The nice owner said that they marinate chicken overnight so you can taste the meat with flavor. He said they got marinate sauce from Japan. The parking spaces are pretty narrow and looks like it is a very busy shopping center. So I think the best way is to call to order and pick up. Highly recommend!

Considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes, I found the prices to be reasonable. The portions were generous, making it a good value for those looking to satisfy their fried chicken cravings without breaking the bank.

It’s been too long since I had a good Tori Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) so I had been keeping a lookout whenever I passed Kariju to see if it’s open. I finally spotted the open sign and had to make a detour to get a fix! I’m in love with the tasty and juicy chicken encased within a crispy and crunchy crust! Definitely best eaten on the spot or reheat in an air fryer if you’re getting takeout.

I typically refrain from posting reviews unless a place a exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. In this case, it is closer to the latter.

I placed an order to go today for the teriyaki chicken bento box and 4 drumsticks. The bento box came with chicken, side of white rice, and fries. It was good but if I go again I would probably just stick with the drumsticks. Which by the way are pretty big compared to KFC drumsticks ,and tasted amazing . Got to say the best fried chicken I’ve had. I added a picture next to my bottle of water to show size.
