Very friendly service! Order at the kiosk for card or at the register to pay with cash. Cash options are cheaper which was so nice! Absolutely love the prices and quality of food. Such good miso soup. The ingredients taste fresh and the food was served fairly quickly. Some indoor seating and a good amount of outdoor seating. Will definitely be back and would recommend!

Pork chop bbq was just not a good quality meat, no marinated meat, no spices, just grilled from frozen. Portion of rice and salad it came with.were microscopical and bland, no taste in general. NO RECOMMEND. There are way too many good options right around the corner.

Walked into this place for lunch. We had the pork chop and chicken katsu over rice. Good size portions w salad and ca rolls. Pork chop was good but a little dry. Chicken was tasty. I’d come back if in the area. Kids loved it.

The man behind the counter was so nice- I was waiting and he asked me if I want miso soup. I said I’m fine but when I was leaving he insisted to offer me some cuz it’s late and cold… really reminds me of my own grandpa

The owner is maybe one of the nicest I’ve ever met. We walked in and we’re immediately greeted with warmth despite it being very busy. They repeatedly took the time to talk to us and make sure we were okay. My boyfriend had a cut on his hand and the owner immediately started pulling out bandaids and neosporin and taking care of the injury. It was so unexpected and certainly not his job but he took his time to make sure my bfs injury was taken care of. Like how often do you get that kind of service? And he was funnt and sweet too. The food was also absolutely delicious. Don’t get me wrong it’s cheap-ish sushi but it’s amazing for the price and they have super big portions for the entrees. We came here late night thinking we were gunna get subpar food and go home and we ended up spending like an hour in here eating good food with our friends and having a wonderful time and chopping it up with the owner. Massive recommendation! Not like all the other impersonal Berkeley restaurants!
