This is a place to stop if you want calm, cool, collective. The Kaufman signature burger disappeared before I knew it, the beers are a good selection, and the staff are excellent. Could be I’m just in a good mood but I really enjoyed the stop. Chris and Bella, by the way.

The first time trying I dined I may have rated at 4.5 stars. The appetizers are good. The dinners on the first visit were pretty good. The second visit, we were not as impressed with the dinners. Really more like a 3 stars. The desserts are decent, but the Coconut Cream pie is delicious and they have very good coffee. Both times we went the service was exceptional. The building is very cool. It can be a bit loud depending on which area you are seated.

The mushroom pasta was absolutely delicious. They have a great selection of both cocktails and mocktails as well as beer and wine. They easily accommodated my vegan diet and their pasta is egg free! I had a lovely evening here.

I highly recommend Kaufman Tavern. I recently attend a show at The Strand Theater (excellent place!), and went to Kaufman afterward. The service could’ve been faster, but I had a feeling the employee was new. I got the chicken sandwich which was humongous and reasonably priced. I will definitely come here again next time I’m in town.

We were very excited to dine here because we hadn’t been in since it reopened. Reservations were made for dinner on a Thursday night, and while the food was very good, it was possibly the slowest service we’ve ever experienced. Everyone was very nice, but everything from our uncomplicated drink order to our uncomplicated dinner order took much longer than it should have. Our waitress rarely checked on us, other than to say our drinks or food were not ready yet. I’m not sure we’ll return. I don’t have that kind of time on my hands.

Typically go here with my wife on date nights. Great atmosphere. Service is typically always good. Wish they would change the menus up a bit more and more daily features or weekend features. But definitely a nice hidden local spot!

My family booked a table for 7 to celebrate my moms 91st birthday -We arrived early and were told we couldn’t sit at the table to wait despite the dining room being empty. The manager was so rude that other patrons commented. At 4 we were told we could sit but that our server was late. We have celebrated many times at this restaurant over the years and NEVER have been treated so rudely as we were by the manager. She was incensed and screamed at myself and my moms cousins because we’d brought cookies into the restaurant with bags and decorations for the table- we’ve done this for years here. The food was over cooked as usual but the manager was totally out of line -will never return to this restaurant – the manager could have kindly handled the situation but instead chose to berate us. The server was lovely and apologized for being late. Bill was over 300.
