Supper Club with tasty Friday fish fry. The walleye is humongous and so, so good! Served with bread, coleslaw, salad, and soup! Soup seemed homemade and was delicious. Top it off with an old fashioned sweet, yum!

To lead this off, our waitress was awesome and she tried her best to rescue our evening. I really enjoy supper clubs and family owned operations, but this was really disappointing. We were seated immediately upon arrival. It took 45 minutes to get our order taken. Drinks arrived at our table over 1 hour after we arrived. Once our food arrived, about another half hour later, it did not appear to be seasoned and our steaks were cooked very inconsistently.

Terrible place to make reservations. This was my birthday night. We waited 2 hours past the time of our reservation to be seated and the server still managed to mess up the order. I was very disappointed. Food was cold and the server was in too much of a hurry to focus on costumer requests for drink, apps, etc.. This place used to be AWESOME, but unfortunately there is nothing good to be said about this place. Holes in the walls, and not clean whatsoever. I’m surprised your still in business.

First time here, picked lunch as I know it gets PACKED for Friday fish fry dinners. Service was super fast, food was delicious! A little dark on the interior for my taste and although it was 90+ degrees outside, I swear I felt the heat kicking in.

The great Wisconsin tradition of supper clubs lives on at Kavanaugh’s. My prime rib was perfectly cooked. Despite the deluge of other diners, out server was fantastic and provided outstanding service.

We were super let down by this place. The best things: brandy old fashions and our waitress was working her butt off. The place itself has a very supper club feel to it but things are falling apart. First off the chairs in the bar area were extremely rickety. Someone will fall someday soon if they don’t repair them. And the chairs in the dining room had the outer nylon pieces flaking off everywhere on the floor and onto our clothes from sitting in them. The food wasn’t anything special. The broiled walleye needed to be seasoned. The tenderloin was very tough and our daughters cheese burger was very dry. All around just a bummer of a meal. Salad, bread basket and baked potatoes were devoured and enjoyed. I wouldn’t come back to this place with the other great supper club options around.

A great classic supper club, nothing too fancy but all around good. Old Fashioneds were tasty and strong how I like them. Every item of food was delicious, great curds and onion rings. Got a whole school of bluegill with one order a a walleye fillet that we think came from a 20lb lunker. Service got a lil slow towards then end of the night but our server was new and the place was behond packed so no biggie really.

They really care about their friends and family in the area and do their best to welcome everyone and make them feel special. They host a multitude of events every week and not only serve their customers, but they also give back to the community as well. Highly recommend.

Honestly, this supper club is a Madison treasure. The steak is fantastic (we usually get the filet mignon), you get a ton of food for the price, and everything is cooked to perfection. Servers are always friendly and attentive, and we make this a regular part of our date night rotation.
