I love this place so much! My husband and I have come by this place to just grab a hot home cooked meal and everything is absolutely delicious. My favorite thing here is her famous chicken salad, I personally enjoy the jalapeno chicken salad. She also makes desserts such as cookies and cakes. You can even buy just one slice of cake if you prefer. Something else they do which I find really cool is they also sell jarred jams and jellies.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion but I don’t think the food is worth the price. The baked spaghetti was tasty but really just spaghetti with some cheese baked on top. The garlic cheese knots were suspiciously shaped like the same ones I can buy at the store with a little added spice and cheese. I also got a small container of buffalo RANCH chicken salad. My mistake was not looking at the ingredients. Chunks of mold were included and gave it a bitter taste. It was bleu cheese but I’m not a fan and it overpowered the flavor. The best thing purchased was the sliver of a slice of cake that was very good but even with the rising cost of eggs wasn’t worth $4. Overall I spent just under $50 for a so-so meal. Prices are not posted in the store that I saw and they do not provide an itemized receipt so I don’t know if they scanned the wrong item for something or if they just really take advantage of the people who want to support local business.

I’ve gotten lunch here many times. I always get the original chicken salad sandwich, and the broccoli salad. Both are so good!! There are 4 tables outside in front of the store, that make a lovely place to eat, if it’s not too hot out.

I live about fifteen miles from Jefferson and this was my first time visiting this store. It is absolutely adorable ya’ll! Such cute decor accessories. Went to pick up some Chicken and Dumplings and Sweet Onion Cornbread. My word, the Chicken and Dumplings were soooo delicious! When I got home I was only going taste them before putting in the fridge to have for my meal tomorrow, well I just could not stop with just a taste! I ate the entire pint! Same with the Cornbread, just a taste, then ate two of them because they were so yummy! I will definitely be going back again!

Everything is good here! They offer desserts and make whole Cakes as well. Make sure that you come in on the days when they make other food besides sandwiches and salads. It’s totally worth it! They have food that you can take home and heat up for your family as well. They have a lot of pimento cheese and different kinds of chicken salad sandwiches available

Kay’s has a pleasant atmosphere, very clean and kind people that treats you with kindness and are helpful. All done with a smile on there s face, just like it should be done. The chicken salad is “magnificent” the brownies are are great too. I would highly recommend Kay’s Vintage Pantry for just about all of your take home meals. Everything you need and is GOOD too. You can’t beat it.

Born and raised a Georgia Peach, there are certain things I am very opinionated about… two of those being chicken salad and sweet tea. Few things in life are as good as Grandma made them, but let me tell you that Kay’s Chicken Salad is probably the best I’ve ever had! Amazing!! I will surely be back!
