When I tell you this place is a hidden gem in the South….baaabbbbyyyy the barbeque was soooo good I almost thought my Daddy was back there throwing down. The ribs were literally falling off the bone when we picked them up to take a bite. Somebody grand momma back there making the macaroni and cheese from scratch. We could tell because it had that little burnt on it from the corner scoop. LOL

This place has almost made the top of my list for Beaufort all that’s missing is the Baked Taters. Love the fact there is local art on the wall. Nice small quiet place. The Pulled Pork was amazing. Will be back

I absolutely LOVE Barbecue, so when you hear there’s a great place around the corner, you just have to try it. First off, I placed my order in over the phone and was pleasantly and promptly helped and had all my questions answered. When I walked in I was greated by an amazing FOH named Heather. She truely understands customer service and I can tell excels in providing that 1-to-1 experience to everyone that walks in. Although I dont think this is the Best BBQ ive ever had (that is held to a place in Chattanooga, TN currently) I can easily say this is the best BBQ in Beaufort. Everything was flavorful and seasoned well. Sides were great and their sauces were even better. I highly recommend if you are in the area.

Ok! So let me first start off by saying how friendly the staff was. They greeted me and verified my order as I came in. The sides were ok. I had the greens and Mac-n-cheese. However, I don’t think it was worth paying an extra $1 for the Mac-n-cheese. It wasn’t fresh and not as cheesy. The sauces were also ok. Now moving on to the disappointing part of my review. I ordered the burnt ends plate. They were hard to eat, pretty much inedible. They are supposed to be tender and juicy but what I got was reheated, old, and dry meat. I got maybe 2-3 pieces that were somewhat chewable, the rest I could NOT chew through (shown in the picture). I had to toss all those inedible pieces. This is what happens when you reheat old meat. It makes the meat tough and inedible. It was not worth the $21 I paid, plus the tip I gave. Don’t get me wrong, it has the potential to be amazing but I believe the owners should find a way to make sure they serve their BBQ as fresh as possible (namely same day serve) and not day old or days old meat. So kudos to the kind staff but thumbs down on what I was given.

Incredibly disappointed. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The food was mediocre and way too expensive for the quality and quantity. I ordered “The Beast” sandwich with coleslaw and paid an addition $5 for their premium side Mac-n-cheese. I also got a 12 oz fountain drink. Grand total for all of it with tax was $31!!!! Are you kidding me? Take a look at the picture. Does that look like $31 worth of food? The Mac-n-cheese was probably the best part but it certainly wasn’t worth $5 for the 1/4 cup quantity. The bbq sauce is barely a step above plain ketchup. The brisket was tough and dry. How do you make the brisket so dry and still call yourself a bbq restaurant? I guess my first warning should’ve been that you couldn’t even smell the smoke from the smoker in the building or surrounding area. If I had paid $10 or even $12 dollars I probably wouldn’t be writing this review right now. I still probably wouldn’t be writing it if the quality was there, but it just wasn’t. This place definitely isn’t worth the price.

Gonna be long sorry…. So I went to this POOR excuse for a BBQ restaurant today for lunch, I am on the Keto diet and thought that it might be a good place to get some low carb pulled pork or brisket, boy was I wrong… I ended up ordering the brisket plate and got collard greens and coleslaw for my sides… The “brisket” if that’s what you want to call it, came out with some sort of sweet sauce all over it, I’m assuming to hide the fact that it didn’t look like brisket, the meat had that rainbow sheen to it, against my better judgment I tasted a bite and it was sweet and tasted like it came out of an old cafeteria… sorry best way to describe it… I apologized to the waitress and told her my situation and asked if there was any way I could get something that wasn’t smothered in sauce and she told me the pulled pork was not so I asked if I could swap out meats… she took the “brisket” back and brought me a small side of pulled pork… I ate the pork like a champ even though it wasn’t the best.. the coleslaw tasted like nothing but mayonnaise and the greens tasted like they came fresh out the can…the portions were very small as they were served in little condiment cups… so to top off the experience she brought me my bill she charged me full price for the brisket plate which I didn’t even eat and then an additional charge of $4.50 for a small side of pulled pork when I asked the waitress about it she went to this lady standing behind the register and they were talking about it and the lady was telling her that it was not their problem… the waitress came back and apologized and said that the owner told her there’s nothing they can do… the owner was making it very clear in her actions that she has no care for the customers…she was rude and arrogant and I actually felt bad for the waitress because I know she was the “middle man”…I went ahead and paid and walked out because I really didn’t want to cause a scene, but I was very disappointed with this establishment and will never eat at this joint again… make your own calls about this, but anyone who says this place has good food has never had good bbq..

We arrived with around 13 people and they quickly put together tables for us to sit. Amazing customer service and the owner is active in the restaurant. Food was fresh, hot, and good. It also didn’t take too long to come to the table.

We ordered the 3 meat sampler with baked beans and potato salad as our sides. We try A LOT of BBQ when we travel. Pulled pork was tasteless, ribs were hard, like they had sat under a heat lamp for awhile and the sausage was very good. Potato salad is neither mustard based or sweet based. Made with sour cream and had a weird taste. The baked beans tasted like they were bottom of the pan. Kind of burnt tasting. All in all, a 3 out of 10 for us.
