A lot to like about K&D. Service was great. Two cute family kids ran the counter and when the owner (?) brought us our food, she offered us some pears to take home. Food was very good and I’m glad they offer vegetarian pho and banh mi options. I also liked that it is fast-casual style, so no need to wait on staff and saves us a bit of money. The portion sizes are smaller, but cheaper and surprisingly filling, still. Only minor complaint is the ice coffee, which was 1/3 coffee, 2/3 ice. I literally finished it in two sips. It was good, though.

Simple menu with some delicious Pho, served with a smile. The chef prepares their broth authentically with no concentrates and letting it cook for 24 hours. The portion sizes are just enough with their meat and other toppings being fresh. I heard that on the weekends, they serve a rotating specialty dish that is freshly made with limited availability. Looking forward to visiting then!

Yummy food and nice people! The banh mi bread is really good. Pho has lots of fresh ingredients. This was my 3rd time here and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Restaurant is in a nice, quiet mall strip. We ordered Vermicelli Bowls and Vietnamese Summer Rolls for lunch. We thought we were going to receive 4 rolls as pictured, but were only presented with 3 rolls (maybe cutbacks with inflation?). Summer rolls were tasty with peanut sauce. And the Vermicelli Bowl was decent, but didn’t have enough crispy spring rolls in each bowl, only 2 small ones. Lots of meat in each bowl. Disappointed with the lack of crispy spring rolls, but the sauce mixed with the veggies and generous rice noodles balanced out. You have to purchase bottled drinks separately.

This is easily the best Pho spot I’ve been to in this area. They have the tastiest broth, best flavor, best staff and I feel at home every time I walk in. You have to try this place! The number 17 is definitely my go-to dish.

This is the best pho place in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, I’ve tried them all. I’m Asian and I lived in NYC, Philly, and this is my favorite. I’m a vegan and my partner isn’t and we both love the pho soups we get, the vegan is better than anyone I’ve had in Ann Arbor Philly and nyc.

Super weird experience. They had a child working the register. Paid a tip and everything when I ordered. I missed the sign saying to drop your own dishes in the bin, so I just cleaned off my table and stacked everything to make it easier for them. Common courtesy stuff. I leave to head to my car and the kid leaves the restaurant right behind me and starts following me, like disturbingly close to me without saying anything. I’m headed to my car maybe 50 yards away and the kid is still right on me by the time I get to my car and I’m wondering what the hell he wants. I reach for my door and he finally pipes up and says “go back and clean your dishes”. Like… Are you serious? Could have picked em up yourself with all the time you spent awkwardly following me, or said something when I was leaving to save us both 100 yards of walking back. What a strange thing to happen. Food wasn’t good enough to justify the weirdness of that kid.

Since we tried this for the first time last year we have been here probably twice a month. They have the best Pho and Summer rolls in Southeast MI. I’ve been searching for good Vietnamese outside of my favorite places in Houston and Chicago for years and this is the place! The owner and her family always has a kind greeting and serves the same great food every time.
