Decided to try this place since it’s a nearby restaurant that looked busy. When you come in it smells like a old folks home, which makes sense because I think I was the youngest person in the restaurant by about 30 years. I mean every seat filled in the place filled with 60+ years old people. This should have been the red flag to leave but we decided to try it. Got the spinach artichoke dip but it was like chopped spinach in a watery queso dip and completely bland. My stroganoff was also super watery and was like trying to swallow bland mush. My steak was a “filet* but was ultra chewy and came out almost blue rare when I asked for medium rare. My dates chicken was garlic rosemary but was also basically boiled bland chicken. Great food if your very old and sensitive to any flavor other than a sprinkle of salt. Very much so a restaurant filling a specific niche.

I have been coming to Keegan’s for years. First, in Awataukee. After I retired, I have been coming to the Chandler location. I have never been disappointed , never. The food is great and the service for the most part has been good. I read some of the recent reviews and was very upset with some of them. One complained about the place being full of senior citizens and we have nothing else to do but wait for our orders. First, food is made when ordered and takes longer than going to McDonalds ! Seeing old folks is a good sign. We know what restaurants have good food at a reasonable price. Do yourself a favor and try this place, you won’t be disappointed . Trust me.

We have been wanting to eat here for quite a while. Finally, we made it. We were NOT disappointed. The staff are great and the service top notch. A great selection of wine, beer and hard liquor. Our drinks arrived quickly and a few minutes later our meals arrived. We had the Stroganoff. The beef was cooked to perfection. We will be returning and returning.

They were packed at the bar for their happy hour. Expectations were mixed due to reading the reviews. However, the shrimp cocktail was amazing, the Filet was pretty good, the sides were as average as one could expect (cheesy potatoes which appear to come on many things and a vegetable medley). Service was okay, but they had a ton of people on the floor and only one bartender. They could use two bartenders, at least during happy hour. Will I go back if visiting the area again… probably not. With all of the many other options available, this is a local, non-thrilling, nothing special on the menu, kind of place. And you definitely do not go for the caliber of food or unforgettable experience. Pick another place, unless you are local. This is definitely a local hangout where the drinks were flowing and the food was an afterthought.
