My first visit here (several months ago) was less than impressive. However, after hearing they had done a revamp of the restaurant and menu, I felt it was worth another shot.

Stopped in for crawfish yesterday. They didn’t have any, but I was delighted by their chef’s choice oysters on HH. Also tried their perfectly finished fried green tomatoes. I’m no beer girl, so I tried their berry seasonal cider. A great, light, refreshing pairing. Will be back!

Enjoyed my first time coming to this restaurant and definitely will be back. Downtown level of food and very reasonable for what you get.

We have our 35th wedding anniversary dinner there and it was really wonderful. I had the special which was a filet with blue crab and asparagus and my husband had fried shrimp with french fries and slaw. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. The quality of the food was top-notch. I would put the fillet as one of the best steaks I’ve had.

Stellar service every time. We sit at the bar. Food has always been great with very few (and minor) misteps in the 5 or 6 times we’ve been. Excellent happy hour specials and the staff is fabulous.

We had reservations for Mother’s Day. Our server was very prompt and attentive. The menu was very expensive. My husband and I tried one NE PEI each and it was $10 per oyster. Our party of 6 ordered several courses. The ceviche was very good, fresh & well seasoned. The seafood risotto was over $45. It was a nice portion, too expensive I ordered the southern fried catfish, the fish was nicely fried. I had 2 small pieces in the dinner portion, this was a lunch portion in my opinion. The coleslaw would have been better served in its own little dish on the main plate, rather than in the corner of the plate. The sauce bled into the plate and onto the fries. Wine prices were also very expensive. Glad we tried it, but there are many places in town with a bit more of an affordable menu with better portions.

The food is great. The vibe is cool. The service is sterling. I have a severe food allergy, and so I stick to what I know. I happened to be seeing a late movie, and this was the only game in town near the theater. The first three meals I chose did not work for me. The first dish was sold out, the second and third both had hidden allergens, so it was suggested that I try the trout. Can I just say heaven on earth? If you’re going, and you SHOULD GO, try the trout. The waitress and manager made sure I was taken care of and even though it wasn’t their fault I have an allergy, they comped a dessert for the inconvenience. They were gracious hosts who take their careers seriously.
