The fresh-caught Michigan fish is AMAZING!!! We tried them all: walleye, lake perch, and whitefish. My personal favorite was the walleye, but they were all delicious. The deep fried option was exceptional. Not at all greasy. Light and crispy. Outstanding fries and hush puppies! Can’t go wrong!

Portions are huge but it definitely hits the spot. Their Perch is nice and light and simply disappears upon opening the box. Walleye is chunky and breaded to perfection

Keepers is located off the main strip in downtown Ludington. They were smart to have a sign off the main strip. That’s what alerted us to this hidden gem. I had the mahi-mahi it was amazing. Hush puppies were so good! Perfect place for lunch. We sat in the common eating area.

This place is great! You walk inside a tiny reception area to place your order, then wait outside for them to call you to the window. There’s plenty of good seating along a pedestrian park area (though they could use some umbrellas on the tables). But the food is what you come for! Keeper’s does not disappoint! We tried the walleye and the perch and both were terrific, not to mention the fries and hush puppies. Put this on your list.

The perch was awesome. Served with a cherry coleslaw, fries, and a hush puppies. The table also had the whitefish with the same, and chicken tenders. Everything was great. Took about ten minutes to make, and there’s nice seating, and a open space with cornhole. I can’t imagine anything here not being good. Highly recommend.

What a gem in the alley! Ran into it by accident. Wow, glad I stopped. The menu caught my eyes.

Absolutely delicious, counter fish & chip shop. We had 2 fried tackle boxes: one perch, the other walleye. We enjoyed our meals: portion sizes were good, fish fried just right, & the coleslaw was tasty. Pepsi products, bottled water, & cans of beer were also available. If the weather is nice, definitely sit in the square at one of the tables.

We had the shrimp basket. I had the grilled and my husband had the breaded. You get a lot of shrimp and they come with Cole slaw fries and a couple hush puppies. It was all very good. We will be back next time we are up.

Lots of choices of fish and fish sandwiches. Not just a one size fits all filet-o-fish here, you can really dial in what you want to try. No indoor seating so just be prepared! Good stuff

For being a shack, they do a an excellent job with service and getting through the long lines. Food was awesome and it’s hard to beat the location. To-go drinks make this a great stop anytime they’re open.
