This food was so good and wholesome. I had the Jollof rice with plantain. The portions were perfect, and the price was good too! I will definitely be ordering again

This place has great food. Watch out for lots of small bones in the fish. The beef patties were my favorite. The service left a lot to be be desired though. The guy taking orders didn’t acknowledge us when we entered and we were standing waiting for a while before he came to tell us we could have a seat anywhere. His demeanor that day was dry but we all have off days. The lady from the back was very polite & made us feel welcome.

I got fufu and egusi soup. It was good. I wouldn’t mind the goat meat being softer but that’s my opinion. Other than that it was delicious af. I give 5 stars because can’t find fufu too often anywhere.

I hate that I have to write this review because I’ve loved everything about this restaurant ever since I discovered Kemi’s Kitchen. For years I have frequented this restaurant and almost always order Egusi as a side or entire meal. I walked in to place a to go order for Egusi with no meat. After getting home, I later discover my dish has meat all throughout, so much so that it can’t be picked out. In addition, this stew is EXTREMELY thick and almost looks and taste like it was mixed with moi moi. When I contacted the restaurant, the young girl that took the order answered the phone and literally tried to argue that it was my fault for not explaining in more detail what I meant by “no meat”…. To make matters worse, I ask to speak to the manager who basic doubles down. She tells me in the 15 years they’ve been making Egusi, its always had smoked turkey in it. I’ve ordered for years and can guarantee that is not true. Orders prepared wrong happens no matter where you go. What I cannot accept is the HORRIBLE response and customer service both women displayed. For that alone, I will not order here again.

If you like African food then this place is a nice spot to check out, the food is pretty good and the wait time is a few minutes tops, not to mention the prices are fair. This is a solid 3.5 – 4 stars.

I come here often. I’ve wanted to try other African restaurants but didn’t want to chance it. At Kemi’s, the food is so good and very flavorful. I always get the Fufu platter and I have never been disappointed. You have to be patient when waiting for your food because it could take a little while to prepare. Otherwise, the wait is so worth it!
