Locally owned and inspired by the founders of Oak Park—Joe and Betty Kettlestrings—our goal is to bring neighbors, friends, and families together to slow down and savor the simple pleasures life serves up.
Our thing is classic bar fare with a refreshingly contemporary twist. From drunken chicken sliders to unique signature burgers to unapologetically trendy salads, and an exceptional beer, wine, and cocktail selection.

Most restaurants are closed on Mondays in Oak Park, so if you are hungry and in the mood for some beers and good food, stop by kettlestrings Tavern. They have a nice selection of beer bottle amc draft.

Best American dinner place in Oak Park. Hands down!!! The service is always fantastic! The food. Oh man. They have a small menu but dang it’s all delicious. Their buffalo wings are to die for. I had the best Patty Melt of my LIFE here. Their cajun salmon is amazing. Delicious margaritas. Every time I go here I always leave so happy.

Well hot damn! We only found out about this place after we had eaten somewhere else and left out of town. So we made a trip back! Definitely worth it. The cheese curds were amazing the burgers were delicious! Good atmosphere, great service. I recommend the in house Ol’ fashion it was great. Ate here with a friend recently. Sat at the bar. Service was decent. Forgot a few requests, but friendly. Food was NOT good. I’ve had better meals here. But, I hope they pay more attention to the kitchen. 1. Had the salmon burger. It was canned salmon, with other stuff, rolled into a ball and deep fried. Super disappointing, particularly at $16. Fries were soggy. 2. Pint of beer was not served to the top of the glass. Call me fussy or cheap, but no good pour should have an inch left in the glass. 3. Donuts for dessert: Very tasty. But, undercooked / raw dough in the middle. I was with a friend and didn’t complain like I might otherwise. Still tipped 20%. (BTW: I think complaining is the biggest favor you can do for a restaurant. It lets them know what’s happening and make corrections to become a better place.) Overall, I like this place, the staff and the vibe. But it should have been better that evening. And don’t serve salmon unless it’s a real piece of fish, please.

2 for $35 burgers on Tuesday are the best! The Kettlestring burger is so so good! The truffle aioli and combo of toppings make this one tasty burger! Totally pay extra for the truffle fries, sooo worth it!!!
