Wow… last night I went there at 9. Waited for an hour and a half! They started giving food to people behind me! I asked and they went in and came out and asked for my receipt which they never gave me. They then said they were out of dark chick (all we ordered) and fries. They just refunded me and offered me nothing for my time. Horrific. Do Not Go to the Lake Wales KFC. DONT GO!

It used to be a great restaurant if you wanted tasty chicken. I’m not sure how long they have been cooking chicken as it’s ordered, but I know it’s been at least the past 6 months. We went through the drive-thru & 6 months ago, they claimed they didn’t sell only dark meat chicken, it had to be mixed & we don’t like white meat (too dry), so we drove off. The second time, about 5 months ago, we tried ordering through the drive-thru, they claimed they were OUT of chicken at 5:00 p.m. on a Thursday!! What kind of restaurant or manager runs out of the MAIN dish?? Then, we went about 3 months ago & they said we would have to wait 40 minutes, but they did have dark meat, so we waited. When they brought the fried chicken out to our car, half of the breading was gone & the chicken was burned on most of the pieces!! The last time we went about a week ago, they said we’d have to wait 30 minutes or more, but they did have dark meat, so we chose to wait, (along with other customers) they brought our chicken out to us & it was good this time. The cashiers need better training & apparently the cooks & possibly even the manager do too!! We have also tried calling before we go, to make sure they have dark meat available, but they would not answer the phone!! I guess I’d recommend trying it for yourself, but don’t expect much!!

Every time I’ve been here they have messed up the order. Do online orders show up when food should be done and no one is there… they are all in the back cooler together. Forgot half our order so had them get it and they still forgot more of it… spent over $80 there and took them over 20 mins longer then it was supposed to and they forgot the biscuits and our gravy for our potatoes after they had forgot half the order in the first place.

Went inside to order. Cashier was very slow and I had to repeat my order twice before he got it right. Waited almost 30 mins for the 16 piece meal. Glad I wasn’t eating inside, because every table was dirty, the floor was sticky and the area around the drink machine was nasty. Won’t be back to this location.

KFC needs Diet beverages. They only have Diet Pepsi. Nothing else. Wendy’s has dozens. KFC needs to be more considerate of Diabetics and people avoiding sugar.

Good food, good service, our meal was ordered ahead and it was being prepared as I walked in. Everything was there and good ole KFC yummy flavors! Love their family meal deals, it did go up in price a bit however!

Door was locked, employee rude and chicken was horrible. 2 piece combo says $5,99 but we were charged over $6,50 for each meal. No mashed potatoes in either meal. Bought on New Year’s Eve and didn’t open them till next day so couldn’t call and complain. Many other customers were leaving and the consensus was that they don’t want our business. They proved themselves. Won’t go there again.

They were out of the pot pies so we ordered chicken dinners, they were very greasy. When we went to remove the chicken box from the bag it totally disintegrated from all of the grease in the bottom. Also the store was very cold and a whole group turned around and left because of the cold.
