Had a great experience here eating out on the outdoor patio. Both the food and service were great. If you’re looking for Asian food in the area, K’Gen is a great spot. They serve both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. We loved the spicy edemame!

Unfortunately, this once-beloved spot has lost its charm, with food quality declining and prices rising. During our recent visit with a group of five, a gratuity meant for larger meals was added, though 3 of us ordered drinks and appetizer two of us just joined for company. The dishes we did get fell short – the fried rice lacked flavor and the same sushi roll looked inconsistent each time. I offer this feedback with hopes of improvement, longing for the return of the memorable experiences this place once provided.

Ordered a bunch of items from the menu: yellow curry, fried rice, seared ribeye. I don’t recommended their stir fry dishes as they all taste similar with very heavy gravy and you can literally smell MSG from the fried rice.

We had lunch during our stay at El Jebel. Beware of the spice level we usually give spice level 6-7 in Thai or other asian cusines and we could tolerate the spice but here even the spice level 5 is spicy so check twice before ordering.

Decent Japanese-American atmosphere, comfortable booths and seating, out of 10 or so times I’ve gone there in the last year or so, the food has always been hot and the vegetables are always super fresh. Everything on the menu from ramen to sushi, and Bao buns to general tsao, its all at least an eight out of ten. In-restaurant wait times are about 15-20 mins. The staff is always super nice and the bathrooms are clean and have super basic amenities. Takeout times range from 15-30 mins and tend to end up on the faster side. Glad to have a great spot for Asian cuisine in the valley

Amazing food at a considerably low price. My wife and I Ordered Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef, and Walnut Honey Shrimp. The service was immediate and graceful and our evening was very peaceful.

The lunch special is the best deal I’ve gotten all year in this inflation economy. $15 for so much food no shrinkflation here and it was super good. The only downside was the wifi wouldn’t connect.
