I’m going with a soft four star. I ordered take out. Food was okay. Service was good. I didn’t stay for the atmosphere… Now let’s talk about food. I got pot stickers and chicken rice bowl. You can’t really mess up potsticker and there were on par with other pot stickers I have had. The rice bowl. Looked like cat food. Tasted fine. This was a great break from the other places in town. Price was okay. I think I will be back.

We ordered food over the phone while passing through Ellensburg. I should have read the reviews before ordering. The young man helping us was very rude. Seemed very put out that we were placing an order. When we arrived the food was not ready so we waited around for it to be done and unfortunately this gave me time to see how absolutely filthy the place was. Not sure how this hasn’t been closed down for health violations. When we finally got our food and were back on the rode I found some form of plastic in my food. No idea what it was but I couldn’t eat my meal. If you live there or are passing through go somewhere else!

did not taste right and you don’t want to change that. Miso soup was okay) , The building is a little scary, as there are spots that obviously have not been cleaned in a while. The guy (younger) working there with who I assume the owner (older gentleman) was very rude to his boss and screaming about how this is his second job of the day and has been working since 5 am without a break and he is tired. I get it, been there but seriously, that’s not the customers issue. I have worked 36 hours straight between jobs before so again I get it but still.

I ordered a teriyaki meal and i got a combo order, when i got home i open the container to find that there is very little meat on the plate, i called back to see if there was an issue and to say that there is barely any meat , to which they replied im sorry ypu feel that way

First time eating here, I got takeout udon soup, takoyaki, and katsu Don($25). The restaurant is a bit dirty but it’s very cute. The food was delicious and came in huge portions especially for the price. Good, cheap, and comforting food.

Ordered delivery and they didn’t give my dressing for my salad and there is soooo much rice. I also paid 13$ for a literal sliver of spicy tuna but thank goodness they didn’t put a normal amount in because it ungodly spicy and I LOVE spicy. Super happy to spend 40$ on a ton of rice and plain lettuce.

Good service, good staff, good atmosphere, but the food is very sub-par. I have eaten here three times over a few years and each time I wish I went elsewhere. I have had the udon, sushi, and yakisoba, all of which were not terrible, but not great either. They need better recipes.

The curry was a little lacking in vegetables and presentation is not their strong point, but I liked the vibe of the restaurant. If you don’t mind “here’s your food” service and want a Japanese comfort food fix, then Kiku-chan will fit the bill.

First of all I wanted to say the service was wonderful. They were kind, patient and quick. However, our food was extremely lack luster.
