I have been going to the austin north Lamar location for many years and have had many enjoyable foody moments there and im a huge fan of kim phung. For years maybe even decades they have won best noodle bowl in the chronicle food awards…The spring rolls mmm… the fried pork rolls resting on a fresh green lettuce leaf to be used as a wrap is just out of this world unique as well as the famous duck soup(My favorite)with lots of fresh sprouts basil greens black mushrooms with hints of licorice root just amazing legendary if you will! Oh and the tea is the bomb i think its called jasmine tea it might not be called that on the menu but i no this girl whom always orders it. She has to have it. She talks about it all the way there. She loves it and makes shure she has some to go or she will go crazy nuts with out it. Taking selfies and mass texting all her freinds about how o m g good the jasmine tea ignoring me the entire time we are there ….texting away til her thumbs fall off and other fingers take over because she must post world wide the status of her precious jasmine tea….was it just that wedsday things didn’t go as planned. Or maybe I should of arrived earlier when the chef was gearing up for the lunch rush or perhaps i didnt notice the low hanging dark clouds hoovering over the kitchen erea…it was good food it just wasn’t Kim Phung as I remembered it.

First timer here. I liked the Shrimp with garlic Sauce and Red peppers with Fried rice! Never had fried rice the way they do it and it was delicious! Egg drop soup was good. I really did wish they had the yellow peanut sauce for the shrimp spring rolls bc I didn’t like it..then the egg rolls were burnt. They were low in staff at the time and had big delivery orders. Maybe it will be different when y’all try it.

I love the Kim Phung in Austin, so I wanted to go to this location in Cedar Park. Definitely wasn’t as crowded as the Austin location and it was much larger. The food was exactly the same, delicious! Meant too take a photo of the food, but it was gone fast. We had spring rolls and vermicelli bowls, which were awesome. The waiter was friendly and I love it when you’re greeted first thing. Service was fast, food was just as delicious. One difference is that you don’t order at the counter like you do at the Austin location. If you live in Cedar Park, you need to go!

Food were great before the new manager took over. Had more meat in pho now less. My drink did not get refilled. Waitress busy eating lunch. They give you your food and forget about you.

Absolutely the worst chinese food around. Ordered hot and sour soup and I have no idea what they brought out. Tasted like dirty dishwater with tofu. The chicken here is of boiled consistency and smells and tastes horrible. Even the over cooked deep fried dumplings were awful. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here.

I ordered generals chicken, beef lo mein, and pork egg rolls. I asked for the generals to be spicy and it was so bland, no spice and too sweet. Soggy, and mostly breading. The lo mein was pretty good. Some places just use spaghetti noodles, but these were actually the right kind which is hard to find these days I feel like. Not sure was the sauce was with the rolls. Was a little odd but tasty. All in all, it was just ok.

Extremely friendly staff. I ordered General Tsos chicken with steamed veggies and it was delicious. My friends is vegan and they were able to accommodate his diet well. Server was friendly and not intrusive. Plus I love the positive affirmations I received from my fortune cookie. Two thumbs up and recommend locals try this hidden gem. Thanks Kim Phung Restaurant

The food was awful. Ordered Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Mongolian Beef, the Chicken was dry, the Beef was leather. In total with 3 drinks it was 63 dollars. The lady behind the counter asked how the food was, I let her know that it was terrible, she offered nothing in return. I would save your money and order from someone else. The Austin location (Address: 7601 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752) blows this place away. I would rate this as a 0 as well if I could.
