Food is meh, you get Styrofoam to go boxes when you eat in, inside is nothing special and they don’t like custom orders. Lady working there reminds me of the soup episode of Seinfeld.

You can get some great food at Kinja Teriyaki. There is an excellent selection of teriyaki dishes and all come with very generous portions. They even serve Bulgogi. The restaurant is small, but very clean. It looks like they do a lot of takeout business with how the front entrance is designed and they serve free soup for you while you wait for takeout. There is also a selection of soft drink bottles to purchase with your takeout. The service is wonderful with a smile and kindness. There is plenty of available and close parking.

Great lunch spot for Fort Steilacoom Park goers on the go. Lunch specials are tasty, substantial, and quick without being too much for your stomach or wallet. There are tables but if you’re looking for a fine dining experience, this should not be your top choice. Spartan decore and self-bussing your table is in store for you at Kin Ja. The staff are nice and courteous, just too busy taking and filling orders for pick up to provide restaurant-level service.

The fountain machine is out of order. No fountain drinks. No free refills. Even when you dine in. Your meals are in a styrofoam take out box, with plastic wear utensils. The interior is nothing special, it is an absolutely plain Jane shopping center hole in the wall. The food was not that spectacular. I had Chicken Teriyaki, and the Chicken was a little dry and tough.

I used to come here all the time, until recently. Last week, a friend and I decided to order food. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude to us. We had requested to add tofu to our chicken yakisoba. She told us that that was too difficult! So we asked if we could just order some fried tofu on the side. She said that we were going to have to call her back because someone was calling her and hung up on us. It felt like she was angry at us for calling to order food. Tonight my husband and I decided to give them another try. We had had way more good experiences than that one bad one. Maybe the person was having a bad day. Anyhow, My husband was indecisive about what he wanted, the lady at the counter was getting really agitated and impatient. Keep in mind we were the only ones in the restaurant. We’re trying to support a local business in our community and the last two times we have tried to order from this restaurant, We have been treated very poorly. I would think twice.

I have always loved Kinya it’s good food and affordable. However, I noticed that they have new owners a couple months ago and thought no biggie but today as we were waiting for our food inside the restaurant my daughter was very happy to see me after a long day at work so she was laughing in the waiting room by the desk and just being happy. And the receptionist told her to be quiet loudly and I stood up for my daughter and asked why? My daughter was not being loud she was just laughing and being happy. It look like she was stressed out because of so many orders and she was trying to take it out on my little one. Not good at all, I get their stress everywhere during these times but that was so rude of her and it made my daughter feel sad. This new management is so rude and doesn’t show care for their customers like the previous owners. I have never wrote a review but the way she made my daughter feel really upset me.
