A quick stop in and out. Dining room closes early. The food is good. Kinda pricey though. We order $80 worth of food. The ribs have zero char. Not my preference. The fries and dogs are good. The gyro Platter is delicious. They charge for everything even peppers that’s the only part I didn’t like. Paid $6 for peppers, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.

The owner, Steve, was very nice! He promised it was going to be the best gyro I’ve ever had and he was not wrong! Ordered two gyros and my food was done in a timely manner. Their homemade sauce was amazing! My boyfriend and I both enjoyed and will definitely be going back.

I went for the Italian beef dipped in hot peppers. It was good. I haven’t had one in years. The store was clean, had the coolest glazed wood tables, friendly employees and a relaxed atmosphere.

I used to love this place as a teenager and still enjoy when I go as an adult. They work hard to prepare good food here. You can tell that it makes the cook happy to see that you keep coming back because you enjoy the meals.

Missing my pita bread and can’t eat my salad because there’s NO DRESSING after the cook or whoever packed my food decided to put not only a salad on top of a little dressing cup but my warm chicken. So dressing, warm chicken gnarly wrapped in foil then a huge salad. You bet my dressing spilled all over the bag, getting onto my pourly wrapped chicken and everywhere. Gave them a call, $28.72 I spent, I guess all they heard was pita was missing because I get a whole $4 credit! Whoopie Doo! So sick of anytime I have an issue here, they minimize it as if my business is minimal.

I’ve been to most of the King Gyros in the state of Indiana, and this kne is by far the most expensive for the same meal and portions of that of all the ones around my location. We generally pay about $10.99 per gryo dinner platter/plate. But this location charges $17 for theirs. I don’t know why this is or if it has to do with the Merrillville, IN address, or what, bc it is like on the border of Gary, IN. Other than the higher price, the food was good. No complaints there.
