King Lee’s is exceptionally underrated. As of the date of this review, it has 3.9 stars but the quality of the food is 4.6/4.7. I don’t understand what people are saying about the service either. The proprietor is always super ebullient and efficient with food preparation. Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in SF. It’s a gem, a rare find.

Stopped by yesterday as we were in the area and wanted some hot and sour soup. Tried King Lee’s and I must say, it was VERY good. I’d definitely order it again! It didn’t have any pork, was tasty, and filled with all the yummies like tofu, bamboo shoots, egg and cloud mushrooms. The man who took our order was friendly and nice too.

Shrimp fried rice was cold pre-cooked with hardly any egg, green onion or shrimp and for $15 for a carton of low-quality rice! Some of the worse I’ve had in SF, they take advantage!!

The Outside Of This Place Stinks Very Badly… It Your Sensitive To Smells You Just May Puke!!! The Food Is Nasty And Cooked Well At All, With That Being Said The Prices Are Way Too High Especially For The Non – Existent Quality Of Both The Food And The Location And What One Has To Walk Through In Order To Get To The Restaurant… The Prawn Fried Rice Was Nasty And The Prawns Was Not Fully Cooked… The Ribs Had Little To Barely Any Meat On The Bones (Yes, It Was Mostly Bones) And On Top Of That It Was Overcooked (Fried), So Even The Little Pieces Of Meat That Was On There Was Hard And Stringy… The Fried Prawns Was Nasty Both Inside And Outside… (I Never Had Nasty Prawns From A Chinese Food Restaurant Until Here)… The Inside Was Not Fully Cooked And The Outside Was Hard As If Fried Too Fast Leaving The Outside Looking Slightly Burnt And The Inside Soggy… The Whole Taste Was Off… The Sweet And Sour Was A Dark Red Color, So I didn’t Even Both To Taste It… Would Never Consider Going Here Again Nor Recommend It To Anyone!!! Ps I Don’t Usually Leave A Comment Unless I Have Something Could To Say (It Being Good)), But I Had To Just In Case It May Spare Someone Else From Wasting Both Their Time And Money Only To End Up Disappointed!!! I’m 9 months pregnant they give me bad shrimp you can smell and taste how bad they were and they still chose to serve them.. then when I show up after talking to them on the phone… I am yelled at and money literally is thrown at my face and less than what I paid IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN… never again. They treated me like I was less than a human because of their mistake.

OK, so if a restaurant can make me happy and do deliveries through grubhub/ Eat24 multiple times, they deserve an excellent rating. Food was fast, yummy, and reasonably priced. My one complaint is that spareribs should come without bones. I read that people are complaining about the way that the restaurant looks. I have always found that the best Chinese food always comes from the least flashiest places.
